He had a couple of defensive plays in a row. So he did his job for a 15 second stretch out of an entire game. Maybe we should give him an award.

It's not showing improvement. If anything, it's almost worse proving that he actually has the ability to play defense because it makes it more inexcusable when he doesn't play defense for 99.9% of the game.
He does just enough to keep his job.

I am not too shocked that Burks hasn't played. As soon as the Jazz signed Foye, I knew Alex would be the odd man out. It is a Jazz tradition to sign a vet and then play him over a young guy.
