Game #1: Jazz vs Mavericks, 10/31/12 - 7:00 PM MST - Root Sports, 1280 AM/97.5 FM

Not a Burks hater, just not ready to elect him to he HOF yet. I do watch the games and I did not notice this kid who is = Dwayne Wade and > James Harden. He looks okay, might turn out okay, but nothing points to all star status yet. And I would like to see him get minutes and see what he really has. I would love it if he turned into an all star, I just think a lot of folks here are seeing what they want to see and not what is real.

fair enough i guess.... so basically you think he looks ok as a player and would love it if he turned into an allstar, so you must want him play more than 2 minutes right?

Oh and i noticed that Haywards minutes were pretty low last night as well (in comparison of the other starters). Maybe corbin will soon promote foye to starter and drop haywards minutes down below 20 per game so that way none of the 4 players that jazz fans like best will play very much.[/QUOTE said:
I did not understand Hayward not going back in with the starters either. Hayward had a heck off a 3rd that contributed to the 37-13 quarter. This sends the wrong message to him as well. Either Ty has starters or he doesn't. We also need to develop Hayward in the late 4th Quarter. Letting him start and not finish is wrong

I know alot of this discussion has been about freeing alec burks, but kanter, favors, and haywards minutes were all quite low as well.... it seems so far (i know only 1 game) that ty favors vets big time just like last year and i dont see any reason why that would change.

Also im not sure if this was mentioned but last night was a blowout game when your bench guys should get lots more minutes than normal.... so im worried that if last nights game would have been a close one then favors, kanter and burks would have played even less.

This is exactly what I thought. Kanter did get injured, but Favors must play at least 25 minutes per game. It's not that he is developing, which he is, but it's that he changes the defense when he is out there. He did have 6 and 10 in 17 minutes, and he should have had at least 4 (possibly 5) more points and another rebound. Brand was in the restricted area on his and-one, and the ball was not in the cylinder on his put-back. That's 10/11 and 11 with 2 blocks in 17 minutes. Vince Carter was looking for Favors on every play and launching the ball wildly even missing close shots. It was just like Gortat last year.

Mo Williams shot from just about every area of the court. Interesting.

David Locke really needs to come here.

The amount of twitter ******** after a 20 point win is unnerving. What happens if the Jazz don't go 82-0 - Love the passion though

What happens if the Jazz do go 82-0 and Burks doesn't play a lot?

Fire Corbin if that happens! Develop the youth!
