Game 1: Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers, 8:30 p.m MT..Game Thread

Don't laugh. I feel sorry for whatever Jazz player draws Kobe tomorrow. Lakers, at home, 0-2. Doesn't have to be the guy guarding him, though that's most likely. Kobe will drive tomorrow and he'll get bailed out even though he can't get to the basket anymore. On the plus side, the Lakers are just overmatched. We should win.

Kobe is going to play like an animal...

And most importantly, the refs are going to be on Kobe's side this game.

Jazz are going to have to run the hell out of the Lakers and dominate the paint. It also wouldn't hurt if we had someone that could hit a 3 ball or two. It's amazing how pathetic the Lakers were playing the perimeter. Giving up 3 pointer after 3 pointer.... Unfortunately, Thorton, Jimmer, Salons, and Evans are much better shooters than Chucker, Bell, Harris, and Hayward...

It amazes me how we still haven't gotten very many shooters yet. If we could surround Millsap, Favors, and Jefferson with some shooters, this team might be unstoppable offensively...
 
Kobe will get his points like usual, I'm more concerned with Gasol, he was saddled with foul trouble tonight.If we can limit him I'll feel good about our chances.
 
Shooting almost twice as many FTs helped the Kings too...

We cannot give garbage points to jokes like Walton, Fish, Gasol, Barnes, and World Peace. As scorers, they suck. But they're still crafty and will try and get guys like Favors and Hayward in foul trouble. Hopefully the refs won't bite... we'll see...
 
Kobe is going to be a huge chucker tomorrow! Just stop everyone else. Let Kobe go for 40 plus it'll make winning that much more fun!!
 
Prediction: When the Jazz get blown out tomorrow, it's gonna suck a lot of our enthusiasm right out.

I hope it doesn't come true, but I have a feeling it will.
 
Jazz need Favors to contain Gasol and Millsap to play tough against Metta. Then double Kobe with Hayward and Bell. Maybe Raja can even throw a clothesline as he nears the end of his minutes on the court. Lakers lloked like no better than a .500 team tonight. Of course, they're also missing Bynum. But without Odom they just don't have a decent bench. Well, I guess Metta is technically a sub. They're just not a very good team right now.

Kinda think we'll see Al on Pau. Al's not well suited to guard McRoberts. I'd probably start Al on Pau and see how it goes. It could go either way.
