Game 1: Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Lakers, 8:30 p.m MT..Game Thread

Cousins, after playing against Kanter, said, "People think I rub people wrong, wait untl they play against Enes. Boy gives no one any respect to their space and does a lot of small (undetactable?) things that are not seen. He's going to get punched in the league." (He laughed as he said it, so TIFWIW)
Great! We haven't had that kind of nastiness in our bigs since Malone left. Hopefully it's a guy like Gasol, Duncan or Nowitzki who punches him in Game 1 of a playoff series and then gets suspended.

So what's the post game ritual? Let's assume it's a win.

As long as he has a strong chin sounds good!

Can't say, I never hit him.

Seriously though, it's not just talk when he says he loves contact. The chippier things get, the tougher he plays. There's no backdown in him at all.

That is one of the things I liked about Stocton. Guy played hard and physical. The Jazz need this. In my head I see them as a hard, physical team with no superstars. Just a group of guys that compliment each other and beat you as a team.

So, a bit of a rant.

I tuned into 1320kfan to listen to some Jazz talk. You know, opening day. Playing the Lakers on national TV. Kind of a big deal, right?

Nah, they are talking about Tim Tebow.

Nothing particular. No news. Just a meandering conversation about quarterbacks.

Really?

I hold my nose when they talk college football, because I understand there is a pretty big audience out there that wants to hear about the local teams. But wouldn't you think we could hear about the Jazz today?
