Game 2: Utah at Golden State. TONIGHT! 830 ESPN

Do you think Exum improves next year? YES
Do you think trey lyles improves next year? YES
Do you think alec burks improves next year? NO
Do you think Derrick favors improves next year? MAYBE, IF HE IS HEALTHY
Do you think rodney hood improves next year? DEFINITELY
Do you think rudy gobert improves next year? TO SOME EXTENT YES
Do you think joel bolomboy improves next year? I DONT CARE
Do you think gordon hayward improves next year? I HOPE SO
Do you think joe johnson improves next year? NO
Do you think joe ingles improves next year? NO
Do you think george hill improves next year? NO
Do you think quin snyder improves next year? HELL YEAH
Do you think dennis lindsey has drafted well with late first round picks? YES BUT MADE A DISASTER WITH EARLY PİCKS IN RECENT YEARS (BURKE, KANTER, EXUM, THEN PASSING OVER LEONARD AND PICKING BURKS, PASSING BOOKER PICKING LYLES)
GOBERT WAS A LEPRECHAUN LUCK, NOONE EXPECTED THIS OUT OF HIM. AND RODNEY HOOD IS DECENT FOR HIS SEED. BUT STILL I DONT EXPECT TWO STARS FROM THIS YEARS LATE F.R. PICKS.

Good answers though imo i dont understand how you could not answer yes for burks and favors. They cant get any worse. Unless their bodies are broken. But they are both still so young that i dont think that is the case.

Im blown away by hayward. I have always been the leading the charge of saying we should trade him and that he isn't good enough and i didn't want them to match the charlotte offer.

He improved so much this year. At this point i think he is a second tier star. Tier one is mvp type players: Lebron, steph, Durant, The Brow, westbrook, Harden, kawhi (maybe im missing someone)
I think hayward is in the very next tier with guys like Wall, Irving, George, Derozan, Thomas, porzingas, towns, wiggins, Butler, Gobert, etc... and he is near the top of this tier imo. Plus he might be improving still.

Against this super teams we need contributions from everyone. You can't continue to play a player like Mack who gives you zero. We need to play Exum 20+ mins. We desperately need his athleticism and length. No more Mack. Also, id like to see Lyles, especially if Favors health is done for the year.

So much this.
Really there are only two established players I would be convinced to keep.
Hay and Gobert.

The two young players the Jazz need to be chip material are X and Lyles. I honestly think the FO made the right picks. Lyles has a complete offensive game arsenal (potential).

The rest are just nice pieces etc.....

GSW is a team for the history books. Just enjoy them.

I'll be very impressed if we have an improved roster next season, I doubt it, Mack for instance though we love to hate him is a solid backup PG, if we lose him and Hill, our PG depth goes from a strength to a sore spot. Seems like next season were banking on Exum, Lyles, Hood so far.

Hayward is the only reason that was a game last night. He's the greatest since Stockton and Malone.

Mack was 3-5 from 3pt land, tied for the most assists though he played less minutes than Hayward, 2 steals, 14 points, Mack had a good game, him Exum and Hayward. Joe Jesus had a decent game too.

He outplayed him tonight for sure

Wat...

-13 matched the eye test.

He hustled, as he always does. But he sucked eggs on defense. Just cause he hustles doesn't make it effective.
He still looked for his own shot.

Good he made some 3s. But give me a break. (Fool's gold?)

Dante looked like a friggin superior physical specimen out there. He was the quickest player on the court by far - and one of the most intense.

His mistakes were aggressive ones. Which was great considering the passivity of the first quarter.

That 1st quarter was trash.

Anyone with half a brain can see that Lindsey and QS have been overplaying their hands.. Severely.. Id go as far as calling it suffering from delusions of grandeur...

Were you saying the same thing about the Warriors when they made the playoffs the first year with this group when they lost game 7 in the first round to the Clippers? Did they overplay their hand by trying to assemble a winning team?

Good answers though imo i dont understand how you could not answer yes for burks and favors. They cant get any worse. Unless their bodies are broken. But they are both still so young that i dont think that is the case.

Im not sold on Burks. I dont think he will improve much. He will just fit better in another team. He would be better with chaotic team or fast paced team, i dont like his decision making, it is terrible. Making a really hard shot doesnt mean anything if you arent doing very fundamental things you are supposed to do in basketball. He should better leave and give us some cap space.

I swear NAOS is the only other person capable of watching Mack without convulsing at the thought of Exum not playing.

And this clearly dictates how you appraise them both.

You are reacting to how posters drool over X.

I get it, but it's disingenuous.

I would be interested in your take on the back up situation.

IMO, Quin has failed here. And he has failed because he has not made a decision this late into the season who is the number 1 back-up. Having had 82 games and a whole playoff series - this is not good enough.

Mack has always been the backup PG, he sat during the season to let Exum and Neto develop and see what we got. Quin is a damn good choice imho, one of the best in the entire league.

Golden State is one of if not the best team in history.

This game was a lot faster, 101 pace.

Jazz disappointed with a poor offensive rebound rate of only 12%.

Biggest change this game was the Jazz actually got fast-break points, 18 and held GSW to 19. That is a huge win of this game.

This game was done very quickly.

I think this game is fool's gold!
It looks like we challenged them for 3 quarters. But how does that really work? Are you really challenging a team when they have no real incentive to do anything more than play 500 ball with you the rest of the way??

We were down 20!!!! in a blink of an eye. That sh*t was scary.
