This notion of us being close is nice but it's a naive narrative. The great teams in the west don't have very good players, they have great players, and oftentimes elite players. OKC with Durant and Westbrook. LA with Paul and Griffin. Golden State with Curry and Thompson. Memphis with Gasol, Randolph and Conley. And on and on. We're so, so far away.

So what can we get for Kanter in a trade?

It seems like his trade value is steadily rising. I have liked how Kanter has looked as of late, but is re-signing him good for the long-term? I'm not sure.

it's not.. he just will not become anything close to complete scorer. Pimp him on the curt and trade his skankay.
 
Now that I'm over the false expectations of the beginning of the season, I'm enjoying being able to watch the growth that is taking place even though it sucks to watch so many games slip away.
 
Tis the season, for depressing frustrating losses.

The Jazz outplayed the Pelicans for about 3.5 quarters.

Unfortunately they got smoked like a blunt at a Cypress Hill show for the last half of the 4th.
 
You cant but envy players like Anthony Davis and their teams. The guy is averaging something like 25/11/5/3 this year. Amazing.
Will the Jazz ever have the luck to draft a player like that? We have had 6 tries with lotto picks so far, some of them very high ones, and havent come close to finding a player like Davis

Maybe our wing players should try actually making their 3's. That should make some room.

I think it depends on how the league is going to phase in the money from the new TV contract. Kanter's next contract will last a few years into the new TV deal. If the cap goes up fast we could regret letting him go.
 
The last time the Jazz won a game without Favors was 12/09/12. The Jazz have to able to win a game without him eventually, right?
