Jazz were up nine when subs were made. I didn't see the first play, but it was a shot clock beating miss. Detroit scores on the same play three times and the Jazz played it the same way each time for some reason. Watson went over the top and not good enough help inside.

Foye turned it over, and Hayward turned it over.

You guys already made up your mind on things. If same thing would have happened with Burks, Foye, Hayward, you would have blasted Corbin for not bringing a point guard back in.

Pistons went full blown press before the timeout was made. History suggests Foye and Burks are not good at bringing the ball down the court on a press, so bringing a point guard back into the game seems like a pretty smart move, actually. Watson made the mistake of passing it out to Hayward on Hayward's turnover, but he didn't turn it over.

I always thought Tinsley was better ever since he got the minutes when Earl went down the 1st time last year. Then I started to actually dislike Earl when the twitter comments came out that he would "talk to his agent" about being upset over playing time.

Not against pressure he's not. Way too loose with the ball. Easy to see that watching him. Hayward is similar. Hopefully teams don't pick up on that.

I don't feel any more confident having Earl bring up the ball opposed to Burks/Foye. I would agree bringing in a point guard who can protect the ball and get it over the half court line, but Earl isn't him.

Wrong..... i would not have blasted corbin for going with what was working, that would have been the right thing to do.

Well when that one bad thing contradicts those 20 things you said before, it kind of does let me ignore them.

I specifically remember a tweet that came out during the start of the season when Earl and Harris split the minutes 24/24 for PG, it was something along the lines of "We don't care who gets the minutes, we are all good PG's who want to win".

No you idiot what i was saying is that he could have brought watson in AND kept burks in since they are both better ball handlers than foye, carroll, evans, jeffy, favors, millsap, murphy, or hayward.
Removing burks doesn't make sense.

When Al was doing well, Knight was in as PG and not getting the dribble penetration that Bynum was. Burks actually did a better job on Bynum than Watson did, I might add. As a contrast example, Rick Carlisle kept a very weird line-up in during the final game of the NBA Playoffs that was a good matchup that he hadn't played a ton throughout the series (it was something like Barea, Terry and no Dirk). He kept them in way longer than I would have imagined, and they went on a huge run. This was in the biggest game of his life and was not afraid to go with what was working. Corbin is cowardly for the most part, and that is one of the major reasons we lose.

Bringing Jefferson back in was kind of eh, but Jefferson was +15 in the second half up to that point, so, again, not that egregious.

So who does he take out? Hayward? That would have gone over just as well, eh? I don't think taking out a big is useful in that situation, either.
