Also, Hayward is perfect from the FT line this year.
Probably just jinxed him for next game though.

Alec Burks defense on Reggie Bullock has killed the Jazz tonight.
I think I need to admit a glaring mistake I've made before when evaluating a certain aspect of Exum's play - his off the ball movement. I was completely wrong and it's shocking how wrong I was... In the SL and with Australian national team when he was off the ball he'd just sag off to the corner and do nothing but wait there. This is something really weird to see from a player who supposedly has a great basketball IQ, and I just automatically concluded that his off the ball movement is lacking, but I never considered that the offense just might be set up like that and that it might be him following instructions. I've been noticing lately the way he moves in our current system. It's quite beautiful actually. He sees plays developing, he's making the extra step to the left or to the right in order to be free one pass away at the 3, and today he made some awesome cuts inside. I was totally wrong. His offensive off the ball game looks to be at the very least good and maybe even verging more on great...
The improvements he's making game to game are awesome. I simply love the potential. I feel like some of his passes are soft right now and he needs to make them a bit more solid and on the point. But with the way he's been taking steps forward, I have no doubt he will soon be fixing even this small problem...

Who were the bigs on the floor? This.
And as I bitched about several times already.. we had a horrible rebounding effort at the end. Literally 2 boards in the final 6 minutes. Inexcusable.

The fourth went like I feared. I knew that a close game would be too tough for us right now. Paul/Crawford/Griffin all have qualities that let them win close games. Our guys have them at times, mainly Hayward and Trey, but they aren't yet consistent.
That being said, I loved the fight out of our guys. We could have easily gone into the fourth down by 15 but we came back and made it a close one.
Good improvement all around even if a few players had some missteps.
Lots of people are going to point fingers at that, but you have to remember that those were literally the only 5 free throws the Jazz missed the entire game. They put a bit of a damper on a great run we had, but we wouldn't have said anything if they missed like two in the first quarter, two in the 2nd quarter etc.. Still shot 79% from the line, which is pretty dang good. Biggest reason we lost was because we couldn't stop Griffin at the end in the post. He made like 3 or 4 straight buckets or something. But Griffin is a star. Props to him for taking advantage of Booker and nailing all those shots.
Those were the only 5 that we missed though.
That was the play of the day for me(along with the Booker putback):
