Game #5: Hornets at Jazz, January 2nd 2012, 7:00 PM MST

Bell is burnt toast. There's just nothing left. If he gave half a damn about the team, he'd make Corbin's job easy and pull himself out of the starting lineup.

I haven't had a chance to read what everybody has been saying yet. I thought I would add my $.02 then go back and read up.

Just to beat a dead horse, I am so sick of AL Jeff. His D is pathetic. J Jack looked like an all star running the pick and roll against AL. It was so sad. The rotation will be the blame for the great shooting NO had but it was almost always somebody making up for AL not pulling his weight.

It was nice to see Burks. He did well in his few min. CJ sucks. His shot was falling so he'll get some more min. His mistakes almost cost the game. Hayward seems like he's timid. Howard needs to figure out how to shoot but his D was very good.

I like Harp and Boler, I think they are entertaining but their love fest for Big al makes me sick. In the 3rd all they could do was talk about no body helping and al having to do all the work. NO BODY ELSE HAD A CHANCE TO SCORE. That tub of lard was such a black hole he made Colby look like a team player. It made me laugh when he started taking people off the dribble 20 ft out. Hey big al, there is this other really great stat, it's called an assist. You should try it!

I've noticed in previous games that when Harris brought the ball down and initiated the offence with a pass to the wing, he would pass to whichever side wasn't Bell. He would even look towards Bell, fake the pass, then pass to the other wing - but if he looked to the other wing first, he would just pass it. After tonight, we see why he wasn't bothering to pass to Bell.

I really hope this is true. Will start paying attention to this from now on

Whatever happened to the 1-4 UCLA play where the 1 passes to the wing, fakes the UCLA cut, wing passes back to the 1, who then passes to the other wing on a curl? Bell would do really well taking that shot. It's the shot Harpring made constantly.

Best stat in the game. Jazz give up only 16 points in the 4th quarter. The hornets didn't shoot a single foul shot in the 4th. When was the last time that happened.

Miles' fouls at the end drove me nuts, but that 3 he hit was pretty crucial.

Loved the energy the second team brought. Still have no idea why Bell gets more minutes than Burks. As of now Burks has 24 total points in 29 minutes, while Bell has 11 in 98, which comes out to a whopping 0.11 points a minute.

He is done. He doesn't offer anything of real value to this team. He can't hit a jumper anymore which was his strong suit. His defense isn't close to what it used to be.
There is no excuse to be starting him anymore. If we didn't have anyone behind him I could understand, but we do. Start Hayward or Burks NOW, and we can begin to develope our future.

Burks simply isn't ready yet for bigger minutes. In his very first gamee I noticed he is out of breath after 4 full court sprints back and forth. He is very quick but stamina is not there yet. I thought at first I may be wrong because it was really surprising but someone else in this topic noticed that as well.

Because your boss tells you to.
Because you are paid millions to.
Because it is good basketball

Justiying your bad actions on the bad actions of others is a pathetic excuse.

not cutting because your not getting the pass isnt a bad action.
its conservng energy for the defensive end.
it's smart basketball.
