Game Thread: BREAK THE STREAK - Warriors @ Jazz - Nov 30 - 7 PM MST

Dude, lighten up .. i mean ONE offensive move for Rudy isn't too much to hope for. And i think you're being a little too negative with Exum, sure he was awfully shy and lame in his rookie year but it's not too much of a stretch to think that he can be something close to what he showed in that summer league game. Obviously he's not going to all of a sudden be better straight away but i think you'll be pleasantly surprised within a year or two. And you seriously can't deny that if he does pan out it's the final link to the team rolling towards contending a few years down the track.

You're right about needing better outside shooting though. 100%

Well, Neto had a couple of decent summer games, too. The reason for holding out hope for Exum is because of his length and quickness. But if he can't shoot, Jazz will always be playing 3-on-5 offensively if they go with Gobert at the 5. Not denying he could be the final link. Well, that and a decent bench. But I'm not holding my breath. I'd rather see DL go out and get someone like Conley and MAKE Exum earn the starting position, like Stockton had to do over Green.

This team desperately needs 3PT shooting from our guards and backup PF. I wish Hayward could be better in that area. Hitting 3's is much more important than taking his stepback jumpers.

I'm a broken record, but our PGs combined for 4 pts and 4 assists in 37 mins. on 2/12 shooting. And yet we were in the game down to the final 16 seconds.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Ian Clark drilled us for more than that in 6 minutes of game time.

Just imagine Conley in the starting lineup. . .

That would be a huge upgrade for this team. And Conley would still provide good defense on Curry.

Agreed about Conley, holy cow put him at 1 and we are instantly awesome ! I'm certainly not against getting a vet that can start now and then transition to the bench over the next year or two.

I'd be happy for Hayward to take a few more 3's per game

Don't u need to add Burks to that unit. He does play as the pg a lot.

And sorry for a too strongly worded post originally. Didn't mean to sound like I was attacking you.

Only 13 mins. Burke/Neto played 35.

We need ???/Exum to play 48 at PG and Burks can play the minutes Quin feels obligated to give to Ingles, There was even some talk pre-season (by Hayward himself) of Gordon playing some PF. That would be an improvement over what Utah is getting from Booker and Lyles.

Unless DL makes a trade, this is another wasted season. Might be better to just hope for a chance in the lottery.

I'm not criticizing Burks. He had an impact with 19 pts. Not sure how much of that was at PG, or who is considered the PG in a triple-wing line-up.

Said u were, just that he played a lot of pg even with Burke in the game.

Wish Utah could play with this kind of intensive and give-a-damn attitude always. Crowd was loud/great on TV too.

Sad loss, we got so close. We had a lot of things working against us including some rough calls (like Goberts block on Green that was called a foul, thought Gobert was going to get dunked on), some crazy shots from GS players that they dont normally make, Curry being Curry, Thompson stepping up after a little slump and very little help from out PGs.

It was nice to see Favors being clutch and showing some emotion. Loved hearing coach Snyder yell at the ref that Favors deserved respect. Glad Hayward is stringing together good games and looking like an all-star. Nice to see Burk get off to a rough start 0-5 and then really step up. Its nice to have Booker playing emotional again and making some big plays, he looks like he did last season, I think the start really helped him find his groove. I loved seeing Hood trying to step up and having the confidence to try and win the game. I would have rather seen other shots or Hayward or Burk with the ball but at least he is confident and hit a big shot earlier to get them within 1. Great to see Gobert trying to take the game over defensively and on the boards. We just needed one more player to step up and we would have won this game.

Jazz are .500 despite being a very young team and having a rough schedule to start. This team if they stay relatively healthy is going to be over .500 and make the playoffs without Exum who was/is their second best defender and is going to be a solid starter. If this team gels a little more and really starts playing as well as they did in this game we might even be a 4-5 seed.

You make this sound so dire. We were one shot away from beating the defending champs and possibly a historical great team tonight.

The only thing (well, maybe not the only but the major thing) that angred me was the Jazz didn't have a Timeout at the end to get the ball at halfcourt. How the **** do you not have a timeout at the end when you've given like 100 in the NBA?

Anyone want to comment on how Burke didn't do **** tonight?

That would be the other thing that pissed me off. In fact, I'm more pissed at Snyder for having him play that many minutes at all, though Neto had his usual goose egg game too.

Lindsay really needs to get a PG for this team in the worst way. Use some of those assets for chrissakes.

The worst was Shaun Livingston hitting his first 3 point shot of the year on us. Career 18% 3pt shooter.

The Jazz have the 3rd most clutch player in the NBA (Burks) and we don't let him take the last shot. So disappointed.

this.
