Game Thread: BREAK THE STREAK - Warriors @ Jazz - Nov 30 - 7 PM MST

On a brighter note, Haralabos was very complimentary of Favors and Gobert

Favors and Gobert, is there a better 4-5 combo in the league?

People asked...
Millsap/Horford? "No chance"
Blake/Deandre? "Legit laughing"
Bosh/Whiteside? "Stop"
Duncan/Aldridge? "If Duncan wasn't 107, sure"
Melo/Porzingis when the Knicks go small? "No chance Melo is more valuable than Favors, especially playing out of position."

Derrick Favors is shooting 44% in the post to go along with 71% on cuts, 68% on put backs, and 60% rolling to rim. Only 24 year old. And has no PG and plays next to a center who can't play offense
.

Quin just said they were looking for hay but couldn't get it to him.

That's what it looked like. Hood couldn't find Hayward and just kind of panicked and took the first look he had instead of keeping his cool and resetting. Even if the plan was to take a quick shot, you have to realize too much time was wasted and should just reset to a Hayward or Burks isolation.

15 minutes 0-6, 2 assists from the starting PG. Why not cut that to 10 minutes and play Burks 34 minutes instead of 29. All other key players were 34+ - no reason Burks shouldn't be there too.

Oh well, hope everyone learns a few lessons from this one, that's all you can ask really.

Gonna be hard to get up for the magic after a game like that.

On the bright side I bet Hayward would make over 1.5 threes, hood would make over 1.5 threes and favors would make over 2.5 free throws.

Won em all.
I thought Hayward was a stud, favors was a stud, Burks was a stud after the first quarter, and Gobert played a nice game.

Nice to see our best players show up

Not even close. I didn't see the game but just because you don't produce on offense does not mean you have to shut out the best player in the league.
It's unrealistic to expect anybody to shut out the best scorer in the league, but when your team is playing 4 on 5 on offense because of you, that's essentially what you have to do to justify taking minutes from a guy as good as Burks.

Situations matter. This was not the situation for that. Down 1 with no timeouts and Hood shoots 29% from 3 on the season.
