Game Thread: BREAK THE STREAK - Warriors @ Jazz - Nov 30 - 7 PM MST

0-6. If he were 0-0, you might have a point. But even then the defense doesn't have to respect him. There is a reason he only managed two assists.

Neto absolutely had to shoot a lot better. His form looks good but he just cannot put them in

Not even close. I didn't see the game but just because you don't produce on offense does not mean you have to shut out the best player in the league.

It only shows Neto as a -1 in the plus minus category, but that is really skewed because GSW caught on that Neto could not shoot and as a result they forced Neto to try to score literally every possession before he got subbed out.

If he didn't get subbed out it could have easily been -20 plus minus and a blowout loss.

Quin just said they were looking for hay but couldn't get it to him.

Spencer (usu) and Johnson (u of u) said they thought he slipped a bit and threw the timing of the play off just enough that Rodney couldn't get it to Hayward.

That's good to hear

I figured as much.

I think that last play was a definite learning experience and Hood more than likely panicked but that's expected of a young player. I think the Jazz showed some mettle tonight and I for one am glad that the Jazz competed and did NOT get blown out!

They did that same thing last year with Exum, who was a lousy 1-5, while steph played free rover doubling anyone he wanted.

Against such defense the Jazz would have been better off keeping Ian Clark to play pg.

Mr. Turns it Over on big possession in a tied game with 1:33 left on the clock leading to a layup for the other team.
You over exaggerate the turnover (of close)

It wasnt a poor pass or off target or a bad decision. Curry got a hand up to tip it and made a good play. There was a scramble for the ball and the warriors got it. Burks was way behind the play defensively and hustled his *** off to play great defense on curry to make him miss. Draymond got rebound and hood fouled him as he made the shot.

I was way behind on my dvr and saw the freakout about the turnover and was expecting some boneheaded dumb play by Burks. Curry made a good defensive play.

Burks gets the turnover regardless but it was not as bad a play as you make it out to be.

Anywho as for Burks taking the last shot like I was suggesting, Burks was 3-4 in the 4th iirc and has been good in the 4th all year.
I don't think one turnover is enough of a reason to say that Burks hasn't been a clutch shooter in 4th quartets this year

It's unrealistic to expect anybody to shut out the best scorer in the league, but when your team is playing 4 on 5 on offense because of you, that's essentially what you have to do to justify taking minutes from a guy as good as Burks.
Also Burks played great defense on curry in the first half.
Saw Hayward guard him a little too and do a great job

Lazy pass that cost us the game.

Everybody knew they were dialing it up for Hayward. I'd have given it to Burks and let him shoot or slash to win it. He's been absolutely clutch so far this year.
Nodding head.
Really a pick n roll with Burks would have been the way to go. Both players were hot and either would have been a good option

this more than anything else over the last few months shows how bright the future is. Awesome effort with getting nothing from PG. Just imagine Exum slotted in and hopefully confident offensively as well as his D .. we are going places over the next few years. If Rudy can just develop ONE reliable offensive move ...

Yeah against Steph Curry having a point guard who can score is more important than any amount of defense one of our point guards can muster. You can only slow him down so much, and it's even harder because the refs are on his side.

Naw good defense by curry.
Curry got a hand up to tip the ball
It was actually a very fast "bullet" of a pass which is why curry didn't just grab it and go..... Had to tip it

I'm encouraged. Great game, we played really well. The Warriors are just phenomenal. They deal with that effort from every opponent, every night. They won't win 82 but they could win 75.
