What's new

Game Thread: Hornets @ Jazz Friday April 5th

And I'll sheepishly admit I wanted the Jazz to draft Xavier Henry. Good thing KOC didn't listen to me on that one.

Looking ahead: Burks with a sprained ankle means more Foye minutes at the two. Tinsley out with lower back pain means Watson back into the line-up.

I don't think the playoffs are going to happen.

Corbin just said Marvin was complaining about a heel injury and that's why he didn't play. That means DMC will be right back in the doghouse.

Good win. A must win really.

Before everyone gets hot and bothered about this win remember that the Hornets have the 5th worst record in the NBA. Don't forget that Gordon was benched for most of the second half.

This is the first jazz game I've missed all season ( flying to Cali).

Someone give the the 4-11 yo!!

Two things about tonight (I'm sure they've been said):

1. I really like how Hay shook off a miserable -- ****ing miserable -- first half. A younger version would have sucked all night.

2. The refs were wrong all night with Favors. Every one of those calls goes the other way for Dwight.

Tinsley
Burks
Carroll
Millsap
Favors

This lineup was incredibly effective out there. Favors got to play a lot of center tonight, clearly his best position. He over showed on a few picks between Vasquez and Lopez and got burned, but was perfect outside of those two plays.

30 minutes of foye
.
boo jazz boo.

so why did dmc play. corbin coaching?
or did the injury bug come through for us

I'll give credit to Ty for finally sending Marv to the bench and playing Carroll. Though not too much because anyone with room temp IQ could have made that move.

Don't know why he keeps playing the same starting lineup though. This group sucks hard. Outscored in the 1st, bench brings them back only for the starters yet again to reduce the gap and then play meddling ball until the bench comes in again and widens the gap. It's stunning that an NBA coach can't see what everyone else can.
