Correct. You only get an assist if the player makes the shot.

Nice pass from Garret to Kanter. Kanter needs to tighten up his interior defense. He gets caught going out to help the PG but he needs to get back or his teammates need to rotate.

Kanter should be getting more shots. Davis cannot guard Kanter down low if he uses his strength against him.

took a longgg time to get back to anthony davis after closing out on the ball handler on that play. i understand he's not as fast as favors... but that looked really slow.
