What's new

Game Thread: Utah Jazz @ NY Knicks 2/6/12, 5:30 MST

It usually takes a young team a few years to figure out how to win away from home. Took the Stockton/Malone Jazz a few years to figure it out.

The Jazz were never a very good road team though even with Stock/Malone. We had road records that got us by, but compared to how successful we were at home it was still head scratching they could never get it consistently going on the road.

Probably needs to see about hair inplants after pulling his out while screaming at Ty: WHY???

i'm relly wondering why tinsley never really gets playing time... watson was beyond horrible tonight! like a ghost lost on the floor! burks again didn't play...

Probably because he can't defend. Even though Harris has been non-effective to terrible offensively, he still plays decent defense (the pick n rolls aren't really his fault).

Jazz Road Records:
1994-95: 27-14
1995-96: 21-20
1996-97: 26-15
1997-98: 26-15
1998-99: 15-10
1999-00: 24-17
2000-01: 25-16

Call it getting us by, or whatever, but I'd those records in a heartbeat.

Yes, but what about the years before that? 1987-1993
Stock and Malone had to learn to win on the road. But they still did lay eggs to bad teams once in a while.

Jeremy Lin is very good player. Amazing thing about him (besides his vision) is the way he seems to play slow but really doesn't. Great change of speed, always a threat to pass, and he can finish. I likey his game.

How many teams do we have to watch torch us on the PnR before A) We hold a special PnR defense practice and B) actually start incorporating into the offense. Hayward runs a couple every game, Devin does too, but the we rarely see PnR on the second unit when we need it most. Yeah, Favors had some nice takes in the first half, but you can't play through him in the post without it coming back to bite you. And Kanter just isn't a low post threat at all.
