Bittersweet to see Deron Williams torch the Jazz. I will always hold him up as one of the all-time best Jazz players. The Jazz obviously got in too deep a hole to get out of against a veteran Mavs team at home. It will be CRITICAL to go 8-2 (at worst) in our next 10 games at home.

I mean, we outplayed the Mavs for 3 of 4 quarters. We just took a big **** in the 2nd. Burks has to be the scorer he is suppose to be in the 2nd when he is out there without Hayward.

I think we had 16 points last 2nd quarter and we scored 17 this time.

IDK about great. He seems to have brought his jumper in and improved his efficiency on those shots. It seems like in previous years he was taking shots that where 18-20 feet out and he isn't taking those any more it seems.

Great game.

Except for that atrocious ****ing 2nd quarter that pretty much doomed the Jazz's chances in the game. Good god that was absolutely pathetic. At least they fought to get back in it, but sheesh, wins won't come when you get outscored by 18 in a quarter.

And **** that ref for that goaltending call. Absolute garbage. I won't say it cost the Jazz, but it came at an awful time.

The Jazz need another bench scorer in the worst way. After Trey and Alec the bench production is atrocious.
 
Nice to see Hayward have a good game. Way too many turnovers for the team though.

Dallas has a pretty sorry bench - if they have an injury to anyone on their starting five they're in trouble.
 
Hayward played well tonight...came into the game aggressive and stayed that way throughout. Only complaint is that he still misses critical FTs at the end of games...

As long as they got Dirk and Carlisle it doesnt matter. It's not like anyone on that team is playing exceptionally well besides Dirk. Parsons hasnt even found himself post-surgery.
 
some observations

Rodney really needs to hit 3's for us to be effective. If he doesn't we struggle.

Dallas are pretty much maximizing what they have. I can't see them maintaining this level all season. Bizzare seeing Deron do something other that his imitation of a decaying corpse. Imagine a healthy D-Will on this team ..

Derrick may well eat a referee alive before the all star break .. Literally, with the way he's not getting calls. I can see him picking one of those muchkins up and devouring them in rage and spitting out the bones on the way back down the court.

Gordon needs to be far more subtle the way he's trying to draw fouls, and not jump into his defender so obviously. And .. the refs continue to suck the sweat off a dead man's testes

Trey Lyles should not be playing. I just don't see anything in him.

I like the way Burke is playing, soo much smarter. I don't know that he's capable of much more that what he's doing and still being a smart efficient player, but kudos to him. Even his body language / facial expressions seem much more agreeable.

Next year can't come quick enough. Exum/Burke is a lot more palatable than Neto. Really good PGs are just gonna kill us all year.

We something for those times our offense stalls for a quarter. Ideally a creative quick PG capable of completely breaking down a defense ... sigh ..

Finally .. the Mavs dancers are DECENT !!!
