Well with that kind of support the cougars are guaranteed a win today.

I'm enjoying this SC tennessee game on my lunch break.

But alas, back to work now :-(

I'm hoping to see a little Winston finally, the only problem is there is about 3 other games that I want to watch at the same time so I'm sure it won't be a great look.

What games would you watch besides that? Game of the year so far.

Since Utah fans are whining about Shultz, who is a lot better than some of the QBs I see rolled out whenever I watch football......

Did anybody see that putz Notre Dame rolled out yesterday? Tommy Rees goes down with ~ 10:00 left in the 3rd qtr, and they bring in a guy that bounces multiple 5 yard short routes 2 yards short off the ground, and they only let him throw 4 times because he was so terrible; he is supposedly a runner but he looks about as mobile as your average QB, and Notre Dame just forfeits on offense for the rest of the game basically as USC just plays everyone in the box. Notre Dame gains only 19 yards from the 10:00 in the third to the end of the game and still beats USC.

It's just crazy that a school like Notre Dame doesn't have anyone that can throw a forward pass waiting in the wings. Probably equally as crazy that a school like USC can't capitalize on that atrociousness, but that's a 6 book series waiting to be written another time.

The spread offense has killed the QB position in college football. Kids that 10 years ago would be moved to WR and DB are staying at QB because they are athletic.

I'm not saying it is a good or a bad thing, but it is the way it is. Look at some of the more hyped QB's around so far. Manziel throws a ton of picks. Keaton can't throw more than 15-20 yards. Mariotta isn't great with the deep ball. But they can all run.

Look at recent QB's in the NFL: RGIII, Kaep, Wilson. Same problems. Their best ability at QB is to run, or run around until the play breaks down and find an open guy.

Again, I'm not saying it is good or bad, but it is what it is. Toss in the fact that more kids want to play right away, instead of sit for a couple of years. Football is becoming more and more like basketball. The physicality is leaving the sport and offense is less about execution and more about moving one or two kids around to get them the ball in space and have them make plays on their own.

College picks this week, starting with the PKM special:

Miss State -10 Kentucky
Marshall - 9.5 Middle Tenn
Buffalo + 7 Kent State
SMU - 10 Temple
Oklahoma State -13 Iowa State
Louisville -20 South Florida
Bowling Green -4 Toledo

Bets I've got so far:

Arkansas St +3 vs Louisiana Lafayette

UCLA +23 @ Oregon

Stanford -5 @ Oregon St.

Tennessee +28.5 @ Alabama

Those bigger lines looked off to me on first glance too. UCLA should be able to play better in an uptempo game.

Do you sportsbet a lot for real? I might get into it. (great life decision, I know)

Until this last week I had only sportsbet at Casinos and was just taking shots in the dark, now I'm trying to be smart and just take games I really like.

Went 5-2 last week so obviously I'm rich now and feeling bulletproof.

$2.99/week gets you access to all my picks.

Good. We'll be setting dumpster fires in homeless encampments across Vegas together in 10 years when we lose our asses, I guess.

Yeah, I've been doing it for awhile. Mostly just for fun.

Edit: 2 good rules to stick to:

1) Always bet the same amount on every bet.

2) Have a certain amount that you can afford to lose in an account for a year and never add anything to it. Just play with house money or money you can lose. Not worth it to keep feeding the habit if you suck.

Had a crazy sports betting day yesterday, almost every game came down to the last play.

I had....

Tennesee +28 LOSS
Maryland +17 WIN
UCLA +23 LOSS
Missouri -3 LOSS
Stanford -5 WIN

PARLAY-- St Louis Cardinals -105 & Over 7 total runs WIN

Hitting the parlay on the crazy ending of the WS game saved the day.
