Gents - Good food

Blue cheese cole slaw - bag of cole slaw pre-mix, 1/3 cup mayo, cup of crumbled blue cheese, juice of two lemons, salt, pepper, and 4 green onions chopped (incl tops). Mix everything together, less the cole slaw mix, lightly.. then toss once added. Refrigerate.

Made some of this today. I changed the recipe up just a tad. Instead of blue cheese I used gorgonzola. Same flavor, just a little less intense. I also used half the mayo and replaced the other half with Lighthouse premium gorgonzola salad dressing. Tastes pretty damn good. I'm taking it to a barbeque tonight. We'll see what type of response I get...

Cool. Hope it turned out. The recipe I posted is damn good, specifically, with a Texas Pete/Frank's type buffalo chicken sandwich. Nice range of flavors.

Those that don't like the flavor of blue cheese didn't like the slaw. Those that did, loved it. That said, when I mentioned using it as burger topping and putting some buffalo sauce on it even the skeptics admitted that sounded pretty good. Guess I have to make some buffalo dressing now...

14 hour slow cooked smoked pulled pork. Pics a bit blurry. Food was awesome. Made sammiches with home made barbecue sauce and slaw. Had a foodgasm yesterday that's for sure.

Great smoke ring, visible in this pic. Smoked with cherry wood.

What started as an 8 pound bone in pork shoulder ended up as 6 pounds of pulled pork. This morning there was just enough left over for me to have one more sammich for breakfast. Good stuff. Way better than you're gonna find in a restaurant.
