George Hill coming to Utah

Just spoke to G Hill's agent: Although on one year deal, the hope is Hill will be in Utah long term

Hill's agent said they would've looked at Utah next season in free agency regardless. He loves Snyder, has close relationship with Hayward

Agent said Hill wants to go "where he is loved"....didn't always feel appreciated in Indiana with the Pacers

...

Again, I haven't read the thread, but I assume I feel the same as the majority.
Love the player/fit, a lot, but feels icky that he's got one year left and we could possible be missing on a good player tied up many years.

I like win now, but not sure how much we can win next year that's really meaningful.

One thing is certain, though... We know less than 10% of the behind-the-scenes plotting and scheming.
Good post

Anyone wanna join me in laughing at PG_AB's New York Knicks?!!

Laughed for 10 mins straight when I heard news of the trade. Garbage franchise.

I think that is a brilliant trade for the Knicks. Lopez is a dying breed Center who has $13+ owed the next three years. If the Knicks wanted, they could sign Gasol, Noah or Dwight to replace Lopez. Rose is a massive expiring contract. If he plays well, then great for NY. If he doesn't, NY can try something huge next summer.

In summer 2017, NY will try to lure Russell Westbrook and another massive free agent to join Porzingis and Melo. Hell, it might even be LBJ...

Thats 2 starter-quality NBA champions I have in the Jazz starting lineup.. Of course you wouldn't respond to that seriously. you probably take pride in being a fan of a loser franchise.

Says a Knick fan haha

So we prolly could have got hill next summer and kept #12?

was this mainly about appeasing lord Hayward in hopes of re-signing him?

I don't think so. We would have had a chance to get him, but there would have been other offers.

And appeasing Hayward by building a good playoffs team is not a bad thing.

True on both points

Interested to hear how the 76ers ran the price up this far for Hill.. This move is absurd..

Lindsey got bamboozled, Trey Burke style.

Though with your first point, won't there still be other offers next year when he is a free agent too?
