George Hill coming to Utah

He does it now and we know he can do it.

You never know what a draft pick can really do in the NBA. I've listened to too much hype over the years.

This is true, and it's probably what I'm holding on to when considering this trade...

There are lots of PGs picked in the teens that don't pan out, much more than the ones who do.

Hill is a top #15 STARTING point guard in this league and that's something we know for sure he can be.

Little known factoid.

100%

All elite players in the NBA, every one, came into the league through the draft.

#bern trying way too hard to be right.

Murray will KILL it as a rookie.
May average 20 and his defense will be adequate... All as a rookie. (A very young rookie - 19).

Lol. He couldn't play adequate defense in college against subpar players. Look at how he played against Indiana...that's gonna be how it goes for him in the NBA. He might never play adequate defense in his entire career let alone his rookie year.

Indiana? Stick to potato plucking cuz ur cherry-picking is subpar.

I havent gone thru this whole thread, but I like the trade. We need a vet PG so bad, and Hill is just that. 12th pick is likely to not give us much. Curious to see who would be available at 12 tomorrow though

Here's NBAMath's look at the Jazz's current roster in terms of TPA. I roughly cropped in Mack and Hill. In comparison to our point situation, he's bringing in 1.3158 more points per game than Mack, 1.6545 more points per game than Burke, and 1.7882 more points per game than Neto. Oh, and 2.6187 more than Exum did in 2015 (It hates rookies though)

By the way, Hayward ranks 23rd in this stat, Gobert 24th, and Favors 39th. Here's a link to the entire database (Link)

Not sure if I trust it yet, but so far I like the numbers it's spitting out.
