George Hill coming to Utah

I like the trade but I don't see Hill has a PG, he is more like a combo guard. What I am excited about is his shooting and defensive ability. I see them playing Exum and Hill together. The coaches will have to figure out the combinations and who plays with whom. I remember Quinn talking about having multiple guys handle the ball and instead of the Stockton days.

I wouldn't be surprised in some situations where it is Hill/Exum playing together and Hood and Burks coming off the bench for offensive purposes. The Small ball lineup of Exum/Hill/Hood/Hayward/Gobert or Favors would be pretty fun to watch.

THe biggest mystery is what are the Jazz going to do with all their other PGs?

David Locke is not the god. he is hack!!! Make thoughts yourself and turn the rado ogg!!! Anyone know regardless this is overpayment!!!! Jazz should get lat pick or conditional pick. So stupid the Jazz are and if you are so use to take it in rear I can't help you. I can't relate to such puss move by DL who botch everything and desperate attempt net results this!

You had me at rado ogg and puss.
That's pretty much life summed up.

People can hate on this deal all they want, all I know is that at the start of 2016, we were trying to get by at PG with Trey Burke and Raul Neto. Now we're gonna be giving those minutes to Exum and George Hill.

Boom bitches.

Genius move by Lindsey. He gets nothing for Enes and now gives away s lotto pick for one year of an aging PG? These types of players generally cost just a 2nd at the deadline.
But wait, now EVERY team will want to deal with the Jazz, thinking they too can snooker Dennis the non-menace.
Seriously, a lotto pick for a guy who likely won't be here after another season. As many have said, Mack had nearly the same numbers. He was already on the team and Jazz could take a chance at a good, young player who would cost $2M.

Mack had basically the same numbers playing mostly PG. You do realize you're comparing his numbers against a guy who plays both guard spots and even a little 3 in a small lineup? Mack defended one position, Hill can defend 3. Your comparison sucks.

If the jazz would have traded for teague and you came to this thread saying that the jazz should have got hill instead them I'm pretty sure that everyone would be arguing with you that teague is the better fit, better player, etc.
And that's ok. You have to remember that this is a jazz fanz forum. When we get a player we tend to really like that player more than all the other players. Remember big al? We all went ape **** (myself included) thinking about big al with d-will. We were posting big al highlight vids and stats and convincing ourselves how great he is.
Many many people on this site would rather have Hayward than lillard. Some would even take Hayward over klay or kyrie.
I love burks way more than other teams gm's, coaches, and fans. Many posters on this site love exum more than his actual value is.

My advice.... Just let this one go.

He does it now and we know he can do it.

You never know what a draft pick can really do in the NBA. I've listened to too much hype over the years.
We don't really know how hill will perform with the jazz imo. We have ideas in our minds of what he will do here but it doesn't always come out in real life that way. (Most all of jazzfanz thought big al was going to be awesome..... Remember the wet bandit lol)

I havent gone thru this whole thread, but I like the trade. We need a vet PG so bad, and Hill is just that. 12th pick is likely to not give us much. Curious to see who would be available at 12 tomorrow though

Ok guys. PG_AB and Stifle both hate the trade. It's officially a great trade.

Here's NBAMath's look at the Jazz's current roster in terms of TPA. I roughly cropped in Mack and Hill. In comparison to our point situation, he's bringing in 1.3158 more points per game than Mack, 1.6545 more points per game than Burke, and 1.7882 more points per game than Neto. Oh, and 2.6187 more than Exum did in 2015 (It hates rookies though)

By the way, Hayward ranks 23rd in this stat, Gobert 24th, and Favors 39th. Here's a link to the entire database (Link)

Not sure if I trust it yet, but so far I like the numbers it's spitting out.
Good info

Well, we both know I won't shut up.

And I always put out.

I will leave it at Murray will be a phenom.
I don't need you to define it... it's bigger than you.

:o how u doin? :o

Anyway, he can play combo guard. We weren't gonna get any instant NBA quality offense, or instant NBA quality defense out of the 12 spot. We get a vet with experience while not obliterating Exum/Hood minutes, effectively playing either guard spot, History with Snyder, 40% 3pt shooter last year, and lots of playoff experience.

I ain't even mad.
