What's new

George Hill coming to Utah

Those saying Utah Jazz and DL obviously like Hill more than Teague are dumb. HILLS OWN TEAM LIKES TEAGUE MORE THAN HILL. What does that tell you?

Bird also just fired Vogel to hire Volgel's assistant... declined Solomon Hill's option and lost him for basically nothing and signed Monta Ellis... Add in resigning Rodney Stuckey to a big deal. I'm not sure they know what they are doing.

Indiana's recent track record is not great.

Don't be surprised. Some people just see points/assists/rebounds and that's all they care about.

Yep!! most fans on here only watch and follow Jazz players. This was a great move for a team wanting to make a playoff run, adds depth, shooting and great perimeter defense. What more could we be looking for going into 2016-2017? Plus We don't have any minutes for a rookie. next year we have more picks then we know what to do with.

Oh great just great. Now rumors are Hill is demanding contract renegotiation for a max deal. He is basically threatening to have a down season and leave to Phoenix after contract is up. I bet Dennis caves in like he did on the Kanter trade.

What rumors? The ones you made up?

Why are his assists numbers so low? Did not really watch Indiana at all last year so wondering why? Also his assists numbers for his career are quite low.

He plays with Monta and PG. he played off the ball a ton more then he had it in his hands. Also more of a combo guard.

Late to the party, just wanting to be put into the camp that ****ing LOVES this trade and actually expected something similar to happen.

Also put me in the camp that thinks Hill fits WAY better on this team then Teague and its not even close.

Can't wait for the season to start.

The more I look at this deal the more I like it.

We likely had to use our capspace on a one or two year guy. We can now give the excess space to Hill and Favors and get a big discount in future years on Hill and a slight discount on Favors. Don't look at Hill as a rental... We will reconfigure his contract and add two years.

Could look like this...

Hill's current salary $8M... Give him an additional 10-11 M this year so his current salary would be $19M. We can then discount his future salary up to 40%... so his next two years could start around $11M. It's like giving him a two year $33M extension (which is fair value imo) but the cap hit is much easier to handle.

The numbers may change a bit but this is the best long-term use of our cap space. Sit out FA unless a Casspi/Lin/teletovic like bargain is there... Use our cap space now when we don't need it for discounts when we will.

People saying Utah is now a playoff team because of THE trade. Psh, we ain't no playoff team just because we got Hill...

We are a championship team!!!

Now where's my Kool-Aid?
