What's new

George Hill OUT tonight

That is one cute baby, Fish. I can't believe she's that old already. Such a fun age when they are learning and growing every day in such visible ways.
The best part of my day everyday is 8:00 pm when I get to put her to bed. Books, bottle, and then the best part, holding her and singing softly to her as she falls asleep. She lays her head on my chest and puts her right hand on my shoulder and gently pulls the hair on my forearm with her left hand until she falls asleep. Meanwhile my heart just about explodes with love. And I have got to do this basically every night since she was born other than a couple nights. And she is a really good sleeper.
I don't know I lucked into being the one who gets to put her to bed but I'm so glad I did.

They are faster than Boris Diaw. Many of them are taller than Thomas. Objectively there is not a physical barrier to a woman someday playing in the NBA. One of them just has to become skilled enough.

Do you think the top wnba player today would have been able to make an nba team back in the 60's/70s (looking past the more prominent sexism of the time)?

Not trying to make a point, just genuinely interested.

holy christ i saw this thread got to 17 pages and i wondered why. then i remembered vagina. coming along well. sewing the seeds of dissent within the Jazz ranks. not looking good for Game 2, my Jiggies.

I would think playing back then would be even harder physically w/ the style of play focusing more on posting up.

Like, could Diana Taurasi play 12 minutes of backup point? She is a nasty shooter and was Steph Curry of WNBA before Steph Curry was even in the NBA. Could she extend her range and not get killed on defense?

I think the WNBA is today where the NBA was in the fifties and sixties without the top end talent. I don't think there will ever be a woman Lebron James but that's not the bar. If we look at NBA players we can see that the minimum physical requirements are nowhere near the requirements to be a superstar. I do think that it is only a matter of time until a woman with enough skill (perhaps a savant shooter) meets those requirements.

But how come I think Snyder will start Mack or Neto and Jazz will be down 15 pts in the 1st quarter and Golden State coasts the rest of the game with the 1st quarter lead as the buffer.

Neither Mack or Neto was as fast or long as Hill on defense and yet Hill had a hard time staying in front of Curry.Jazz are already slow with Diaw,JJ,and Ingles ,then add Macks heavy feet or Net's shortness to the mix ...we'll be in trouble.

Pretty much spot on so far.

Should start exum even if not for big minutes, will at least give the jazz the much needed athleticism.

34 games missed to sore toe and other little injuries. Yes, playing with it hurts. But at clear he's trying to protect himself in a contract year. No way I pay that dude with his chronic injuries. This is Carlos Boozer 2.0. Somewhere John Stockton is laughing.

Are you being intentionally dumb?

Missing playoff games doesn't protect jack. He played really well to begin the season, but missing games with injuries has killed his big contract goal.

So you think missing big games in the playoffs PROTECTS him? You're ****ing nuts. This only hurts him, and no doubt he wants to be out there trying to help his team win, and in the process help himself win a big contract.

New level of dumb. Congrats.

He's right. You really do need to lighten up. Have a sense of humor. It was a joke. I would found it just as funny and would have made the same comment ("this") if he had said hyperextended ear lobe. The point was that George Hill is pretty weak and is always injured.

Btw, I have a wife, daughter and mom too.

Pics please.

Asking for a friend. Thanks.

The murmurs on Dwill are that he kind of stopped caring about staying in shape in Brooklyn. Supposedly ever since he has started playing with the Cavs he has made a commitment to losing weight again.

WTF is this?

CY, you are better than this.

Deron started sliding while he was still under Jerry Sloan. Multiple nagging injuries much like we've seen with Derek Favors.

D-Will is one of the most competitive players we've ever seen in Utah. Crybaby's like to point out he's a jerk when he's not winning.

That's what I want, and any claim that Deron wasn't competitive is trash.
