What's new

George Hill

Every time any Jazz media person talks about him it sounds like they know something really negative about the Jazz/Hill relationship but can't say it.

I’ve gotten that vibe but DL calls him his pride and joy and talks about him glowingly. I think it didn’t end well but don’t think it was anything that could not be repaired. I’m in tank mode though so wouldn’t want this move until the offseason.

When was the last time DL talked about him glowingly? I think Hill burned his bridges during negotiations and with the fact he didn't even try to play through his injury during the GS series. IT played with a hip injury requiring surgery. GH ran away from a Curry match-up like a scared little girl.

Oh **** your macho ********. Tell us more about your expertise in journalism.

It's never wise to **** on a player publicly.

It's pretty sad when people are wanting hill back with all the crap he got while he was here.

We should have went for Bledsoe. They basically gave him up for peanuts

Rubio is shackled with your offense and the Jazz are shackled with Rubio's inability to play our style .... better sooner than later?

Shackled by The Jazz' offense? The guy is missing multiple WIDE OPEN looks on a nightly basis.

The Jazz offense is so dysfunctional right now they have to bench their starting PG down the stretch of close games because no one guards him. That's like a football team having to bench their starting QB when they run a two-minute drill.

Regarding Hill, he made the most untradeable contract list for Sacramento. They spent $17 million per year on a player who is having his worst statistical outing of his career. If you don't think last year was about making money for him then you missed something. He saw the green and he is loving it. He said in a feed recently, 'if they trade me then I will look the management in the eye, say thank you, and move on'. In short, 'Thanks, morons, for paying me what no one else would pay me... good riddance'.

PASS. And I don't mean like a Rubio no looker to the fans on the 3rd row. I mean like a stank, explosive, hot and soft Paaaaawoooomp! Frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt. No thanks and good riddance. My respect for him was very high coming in. Actions speak louder than words here folks. Frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt.

Why so high on Hill when Mitchell can easily be deployed at the point???? Many hate to admit, but what we need is scoring at the forward spot, filling the gap left by Hayward. Ingles is a role player on a winning team at his best. He's clearly been asked to do too much since Hayward left. And the way Joe Johnson has been playing this season certainly doesn't help.

Rubio is an uptempo crafty pass first pg, notice he no longer has those highlite reel passes ? He can't because it's not in our offensive structure , Favors would get hit in the head and would get another concussion with Rubio's passes lol. Sadly I agree with you though, Ricky still can't shoot

I’m not saying we should do it but Hills contract is essentially the same as Rubios... his final year is unguaranteed. I get that he didn’t gut it out in the playoffs.

Hill and DM would be a great backcourt match. If we were playing to win I’d advocate this move but I’m not sure we are all in on this year. Both guys provide value on and off ball. Both guys are good defenders. The narrative on Hill has flipped so hard and I’m not sure why. It did not seem like he was a cancer last year at all. Had a really good series against the clips.

From an article in May. Sounded like we would have brought him back to me. We then made the Rubio trade and it was no longer an option. I don’t think his contract is that bad. I have no doubt he’s an upgrade on Rubio and he is making essentially the same money.

Maybe being in Sacramento will make him appreciate it here even more.

Again not advocating it this year because I’m team tank but the narrative that it is an absolute no go and that he’s a cancer is way out of line. With that amount of money on the line I don’t blame him sitting... everyone kills Detroit and grant hill for playing through an injury that caused long term issues. IT likely cost himself some money and his team traded his *** as soon as possible. These guys have to watch out for themselves sometimes.
