Giants!!!!!!!!!

Go away Tigers. Go Giants. Win another one without Barry in hopes that he feels like more of a jerk.

As a life long Giants fan it was hard to pay attention to the jazz at all yesterday. So I didn't.

Way to kill St. Louis in Game 7. Scutaro was amazing all series. Got to love that guy.

Game 7 of the NLCS with your baseball team or a Jazz preseason game? You made the right call.

I kinda miss torture.

But I'll take watching a beatdown punctuated by a small monsoon.
You miss torture?

Torture was seeing the Dodgers make huge trades for Ramirez and Gonzalez while the Giants "settled" for Scutaro and Pence.
Torture was losing two games at home to Cincinatti and having to beat them three in a row on the road.
Torture was having to turn to Lincecum, who has been horrible all year in the first elimination game against Cincinatti.
Torture was going down 3-1 to St. Louis, giving them a chance to close out the NLCS at home.
Torture was relying on Barry Zito to somehow channel his Oakland days to save elimination in game 5.
Torture is realizing your best starter this postseason has been a 35-yr old journeyman who hadn't played in the majors for several seasons before catching on with the Giants in 2011.
Torture was playing SIX elimination games in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

I had the giants on the big screen, and the jazz on the computer. I rarely looked at the computer.
Watched the 2nd half today. I didn't miss much the first time.

Winning it all feels pretty amazing. I would give anything to feel that for the Jazz. Just once...

I followed the Braves pretty closely (for a 12 year old with no internet access) when they won the World Series in 1995. it was great. I still remember Glavine shutting out the Indians for 8 innings in Game 6 and David Justice's solo homer being the only run scored for either team.

No, torture is agonizing over each and every pitch of 1 and 2 run games, every game, praying the defense can hold it together because the offense can offer little or no run support.

Compared to 2010, this season has been a breeze. I can honestly say that I wasn't really worried being down 2-0 to Cincy, or 3-1 to STL. Anxious? A little, but not worried. This isn't torture.

Yeah... watching Sandoval beat the **** out of Verlander the Unbeatable didn't feel a whole lot like torture.
