Go GET Teague

Bazemore. Hell, let's make it part of the Teague trade. Burke+Burks+picks for Teague and Bazemore. lol

Funny. I had Baze typed in and erased it. Sign Bazemore and then move up to draft Bender!!!!!

Teague-Exum
Hood-Bazemore
Hayward-Ingles
Favors-Lyles
Gobert-Bender-Withey

That squad is sexy as hell.

If the Jazz even remotely consider trading Hayward, they're stupid.
If the Jazz think Teague would solve any problem, they're morons.

I think some here don't understand that trading for Teague wouldn't be perceived as THE move, rather as a move in the right direction, to see how this team does with a quality experienced PG at its helm. It's worth having a look and testing it.

A trade for Teague might be the difference between missing the Playoffs and making them. is that worth something or not ? For all the "go big or go bust" crowd, probably not, but incremental progress is important and statistically the most likely progress : leaps and bounds are more like unicorns.

The problem is Teague hasn't convinced anyone that he is developing into a legit shooter, his quickness will most likely fade in a year or two. He doesn't play defense. He's too old for the Jazz nucleus. What will he contribute in two years? Projecting the answer to that question makes me sad. I'd much rather give Exum as many opportunities as possible next year and see what he's becoming.

On the other hand if Burks can develop/add 1-2 key skills, he'll be brutally underpaid. I wouldn't give him up without looking at a longer healthy stretch. He couldn't stay healthy the last two years. Hopefully next year will be one without major injury trouble.

Legit question. If not Teague, who else is even attainable in the coming weeks that's better at the point guard spot?

If Teague fades as much as you say, and we know the league is deep as hell as point guard (and will be even deeper in two years given what pgab says about the 2017 draft class), then we could always re-sign him as the best backup in the league. Granted, he'll be just 29 but if he is falling apart like you make it sound, we could always re-sign him as a backup or let him walk if he sucks that badly anyway. Or if Exum looks that good next year (and Neto improves some), we could trade Teague for something else. Like a 2017 1st maybe.

Why not keep Burks as a backup then who actually plays starter minutes?

You are just terrible at this. It's mind numbing how bad you are.

At what? Being logical? Or do you live in a fairy tale world where the FO tells the beat writers exactly what is happening behind the scenes involving their discussions (or lack of) with other teams?

They would never trade use Bazemore unless they were getting Hayward/Hood back. If they traded him, they would lack any wing capable of playing above average defense.

Come on DL, let's take Teague...he is the right player to improve this team.

We have a ton of tradable players and draft picks...we can't miss this opportunity! It would be nice to involve Sefolosha in the trade too.

Hayward is tradable too....better to trade him now rather than lose him for nothing after 2016/17 season.
