Go GET Teague

Sounds like Oladipo has been offered for Teague in some sort of deal by the magic. Could be more than the Jazz want to offer.

Wow.
atl should take that

Magic want a big trade that brings in older - allstar capable players. Atlanta wants a lot of value for their players and future potential.
Seems like a match made in heaven

This means the Hawks are sure they won't keep Teague after his contract expires and they don't want a Kanter type of situation next season, in addition they want to give the pg key to Schröder.

We can't compete with Indiana and Orlando's offer to get Teague.

DL has to understand Hayward's intentions in advance.

IF Oladipo has been offered, it may not be a player for player swap. At first glance, that looks like more than what the Jazz should offer, but if Orlando wants more back it might not be worth it for the Hawks. And I really don't like the Hill deal from Indianapolis for them. Don't think it works at all if they're planning a rebuild/retool.

I'd still show interest, offer Burke, Booker and a future pick. I'd start with the OKC pick, and eventually move off that to the Jazz 2018 pick with minimal protections. Even though the Jazz look poised to be good for some time, there's still the risk that Hayward leaves - which would make that pick extremely valuable. It's a gamble, but that's a pretty good asset IMO. Let the relationships that DL and Snyder have with Budenholzer get the deal done.

Also, don't underestimate the value of trading Teague to a Western Conference team. If he bounces back into All Star form with Indianapolis, New York or Orlando, and the Hawks fall behind that team in the standings, Bud and the front office will get ripped by fans. Less so if Teague plays well for Utah out in the West.

We will not know his intentions, that's just not how it works. I'm sure the Blazers would have loved to know Aldridge's intentions so they weren't left holding the bag.
It is in the player's and agent's best interest to show high, but not overwhelming, interest in every team to keep the bidding high.

Exactly. This is why none of Durant, Horford or Conley have come right out and said they're staying. Each have said something along the lines of - everything is on the table. Expect more of that form others and the Jazz guys when their turn is up.

What if ATL will ask to involve Neto in the trade? They like international players.

I wouldn't. Neto has a future with the team. I don't think Burke/Booker do. Start with them, and then start negotiating over the quality of picks. If it works, great. If not, then there's absolutely nothing lost and they can look at making deals around draft time.

I'd throw Neto in for sure if it meant getting Teague It's a very worthwhile risk to burn a few non essential assets. This team plus Teague is instantly a home court playoff team

No. Neto vs. Burke isn't going to make or break the deal and Neto clearly has a future in Utah, whereas Trey seems pretty much done if they add Teague. The Spurs have always had solid PGs behind Parker (Hill, Mills and Joseph) and Neto seems like he'd be a great 3rd PG behind Teague/Exum. The pick and it's protection will be the key to making a deal.
