That's pretty insane across the board. If this kid is as passionate as I (and most of us?) think he is and translate that into working his *** off this summer, packing on just a little bit of muscle (2-4 pounds), developing one really solid post move, and better learn how to pass, he could be a monster. I'm thinking...

Next year: 32 minutes, 12 points, 11 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.5 blocks, 1.3 steals
Year after (With post move more refined and a counter move off it: 32 min, 14 pts, 11 reb, 3.5 ***, 3.7 blocks, 1.5 steals

LOVE THIS KID.

The assists, blocks, steals, personal fouls numbers all in just 29.6 minutes most impress me. Pretty insane.

In four years, with Hayward at his peak, could this kid be a 15.5 point scorer at 60+% from the field, 75% from the line, while dishing four assists, and being a major defensive player of the year candidate? So sort of Marc Gasolish. I don't see why not.

How much you wanna bet he gets there, $200?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and declare that he is that good. Trade Enes Kanter and let Rudy get all the minutes and watch him lead the league in block shots. What could Kanter lead the league in???

Shaqtin' a fool moments?

I rep'd this guy because I thought it was humorous and I like new people because it gives me hope. I don't have to explain myself.

Like I said in another thread, the team should be built around him. He is the one "untouchable" player.

Well, I'd do a Gobert for Anthony Davis trade. No player is "untouchable" given the right deal or the player's desire to leave.
But yes, I do agree he's probably the most important piece on the team right now. And it's his attitude as much as the stats. Quin said he sees a difference in Favors when he and Gobert play together. And Hayward, Burke, etc. talk about the importance of having him back there so they can go after steals and play tighter defense; they're not worried about getting beat when Rudy is behind them.

I look forward to seeing his continued improvement. He said he's been working on a 10-ft jump shot. He wasn't even in the conversation when we were talking about the core4 or core5 and now he's our best hope for having a franchise player. You CAN build around him and I think Quin will make him the starter by next year at the latest. The Kanter situation is a tricky one. I predict Enes will continue to start until at least the trade deadline has passed.

It is a given that Rudy will start next season. This season it is all a bit murkier and rightly so. After all there is no big hurry, as long as Rudy gets the right amount of minutes to develop and the other players learn what playing with him entails, the big picture is going in the right direction.
