Going Forward: Klay Thompson or Alec Burks?

The reason i am asking this question is becasue every person on Jazz Fanz has a major crush On Burks. Just curious?

I would take Burks. He's a better defender, better rebounder, better playmaker, better slasher and finisher around the rim. Klay is a guy who shoots off screens and spots up. He doesn't do much more than that. Klay is a great shooter, but a bit limited otherwise. He's somewhere between Kyle Korver and Kevin Martin. If you just need a guy to make shots though, Klay is really solid.

I'm a bit torn, on this team as it currently stands I'd take Burks because he is better at creating plays for himself and others (since we don't have a quality PG). That said if we were to get a good creating/distributing PG I think I'd rather have Klay.

Really! that is quite a statement, especially considering that we did not like CJ at all. I was under the impression that the GS fans thought much higher of him.

The funny thing is, if we had Klay Thompson here, all he would do is spot up and shoot. He would never be the player he is in GS.

I think Burks has much greater potential. Whether or not he reaches that potential is another story all together.
