What's new

Golf

Bought me a membership this year, bought me a new set of clubs which includes a Rogue Driver and 3W, Ping G425 3H, Stealth Irons, Vokey wedges, and Taylormade Soto putter. Took a few lessons and while I still suck, at least I look good doing it. I'll be getting a golf cart this winter but these things are pricey. I'm hoping I get at least 3 or 4 more rounds in before you know what falls. Best I shot was a 94 but I shot a 97 and 99 in the Club Championship which I was shooting to break 100 so I was happy.

New fitted driver just arrived! Can't wait to see how far I can slice this thing into the weeds! Ping G430 Max 10k...

I can see you on a golf course, dressed like a dickhead, bag full of putters rammed up your arse. You disgust me.

Listen peasant. One only needs one putter when it's a Bettinardi custom job at $1000 a pop And i don't dress like a dickhead, i dress like a pimp Now shut up and carry my pretentious oversized bag

Do with swap putters with the other golf boys? firmly holding each others shafts while going one under or two over? I'll carry you in a ****ing bag, I just need to pop over to Bunnings for the circular saw.....

clearly you think about my shaft a bit too much ??

Update on my Disc Golf Journey, I'm currently 896 rated which is pretty decent. I'm ranked 4th in the summer league in my current division of MA2

My most recent round at Art Dye disc golf course was 2nd placed. I thought it was notable for the clutch 14-18 comeback. I played terribly through the easier part of the course and ended up with birdies on two of the hardest gets. I've never gotten 14 or 18 which are both narrow hallway and low ceiling big distance tunnel shots. 17 is no slouch either.

Handicap at 13 as we end the year for qualified golf here in Northern Utah.

Some of my goals or interesting notes the last couple of years:

Broke 80, which was the main goal
Didn't break 10 handicap, which was the other main goal.
Had consecutive birdies.
Bettered my putting and chipping stats
Driver and irons have been a bit sketchy.

Goals for next year:
Get my first ever eagle
Break 10 handicap
Improve ball striking
Consistent drives...lose the duck hook
Break 80 at a harder course (looking at you, Valley View)
Continue to update my bag as I feel necessary.

Only thing that isn't more than a couple years old in my bag is my 25 or so year old whippy 3 wood. All my other clubs are now stiff shafted, so it's been hard

to pound it with authority like I used to. Love the club, though, and actually hit it good twice at the end of the year playing for a fade which I had never done with it, so maybe that keeps it in.
