Google Fiber possibly coming to Salt Lake City

Fair enough.

What exactly could you do more of, or what would take less time if the speed was faster?

I often have to upload gigantic files, so it would be most beneficial for that. Tbh I'm not overly knowledgeable when the computer and internet talk gets too intense. I would have to consult someone about all this.

I'm curious myself of specifics on the service.

Come on guys, there is no way Mr. Wells is this ****ing stupid. Dude's trolling hard.

I don't get it. I have the regular Century Link crap that everyone else has and there is nothing that my slow-*** computer can't do with that internet speed. I don't buffer Netflix, I can stream games, etc. with no problems.

Why does everyone have an e-boner for this fiber nonsense?

It's a good question and one that Google themselves doesn't even have an answer for right now. Being prepared for the unknowable Internet future was basically their answer to that question at the press conferences here.

But again, if your house isn't wired in Fiber, having fiber to your house doesn't change much. You'll still be limited to what your house is capable of. And nobody wires houses in fiber. WAY too much money.

Im so confused by this thread and the posts within
