Gordon Hayward Rise to Becoming The Best 3pt Shooter in The League

Hayward is notorious for slow starts. Especially his shooting. I'm sure he won't average >50% 3pts, but he'll stay above 40%.

Don't let that bet roll forever. Hayward has a history of getting hot like this and then disappearing.

The one thing to note that's different this season is he is playing a much less ball-dominant role and is getting some pretty clean looks. He's more or less playing the role everyone thought he should play (3rd cog).

not really sure who are the 1st and 2nd cogs of which you are inferring

That would be Favors and Burks who take less shots, score less points, and play less minutes per game than Hayward. obvi

Does anyone else find it makes sense that Trey Burke averages 3 assists pg, and Trey Lyles averages 3 rebounds pg?

This is different than previous times he has gotten hot. The most games Hayward has had in a season with more then 3 makes and more than 6 attempts from 3 is 8 games. This season he already has 7. His 3-point attempt rate is higher than it has ever been and same with his 3pt% (minus his rookie season when he barely shot the ball)
