Gordon on moving to Celtics

Woj is soft! Didn't ask any tough questions, sounded as if his manager scripted all the questions... maybe still in PR damage control??

Didn't speak fondly or warmly of Utah AT ALL.

Woj doesn't get info by being an ******* interviewer. He makes everyone look good... it's part of the reason he has so many contacts.

I'm over it. It sucks but I see why he left. He wants to make a it of all star games and he thinks it will increase his brand. He will essentially become joe Johnson. Lots of all star games... likely a few conference title runs.

I just wish he would have been more clear, but at least he gave us a clear reason to boo him.

well if it is true that he wanted an easier path then he should have called DL right away and let him know. oops i don't care. What I want is for the Jazz to some day meet the Celtics in the Finals and crush them. THat would be awesome. I highly doubt it happens but a fan can dream.

I got all fired up again when I read this. I've taken other jobs but I didn't try and pour gasoline and light a match to my former employer. It seems like if Haywood were a man instead of a sniveling little boy he could have told DL and QS that he wanted to leave. CP3 had the decenccy to do that, Paul George did and Kyrie is currently doing it. Perhaps the Jazz might be better off without him but it seems like we should have received an asset for him if he were a man and not a little boy.

One thing I find super interesting about the entire Hayward saga: From the very start, he seemed like the poster boy for what a "safe" draft pick is for Utah. A squeaky clean, family oriented, white boy. Why would he ever want to leave this place, right? Now, with the benefit of hindsight we can see that he never really loved it here. Hell, who knows if he even liked it? There was just never any passion for this place or the team. Some will say "that's just his style", but I would counter with the fact that in less than 1 month, he's already heaped more praise on a city and a team that he has yet to play 1 game for.

Who would have ever thought that maybe the "safest" pick in Utah Jazz history never really felt at ease here and left town the first chance he got?

He figures in the eastern all star game they might even pass him the ball. He knows he's an "also ran" in the west.

Nah CP3 straight up told Doc Rivers to chomp rocks. Haywood was straight ***** bout it but least he did not tell poor Gail to go screw herself.

I do think the narrative that he never bought in to Itah is false. Dude gave us what he had for his time here. I appreciate it.

I wish he would have stayed and bought in to what we are building but he left. Not gonna kill him for it. Wish he would have been a little more direct with how he was leaning and the Fourth of July was a **** show. Again though... even that is okay because now I can feel justified in booing him and he gave us a villain to help bond the remaining guys.

I have zero interest in listening to this fluff podcast though.

I just have a feeling we are going to come out of this a lot better than people think.

-Hood steps up offensive role
-Favors monster contract year
-DM
-Gobert
-Rudio running the PnR
-Ingles 3pt %
-JJ going back to small forward
-Exum looks ready to take a big step
-3 solid new bench additions

I'm pretty damn excited for the future. DM and Gobert are two stars in the making. We'll add another shooter via trade, or next offseason.
No reason to look back. We have a group that will play hard together, and be exciting to watch.
