A "stretch 4"s primary role is to stretch the floor for others. So... I guess maybe you didn't know that.
Actually, I did.
Maybe I used the term too loosely though. I didn't mean it should be his only responsibility, I just meant that he could act as a stretch-4 from time to time (an opportunity he will rarely have if coaches only use him offensively as a 5).
The thing I love most about Kanter is his offensive rebounding, and realize that this is done inside. I am not saying we should forfeit that. I am only saying, Kanter is more well rounded offensively than most big men, and yet we are only planning on using a small fraction of it!? Favors is only really successful at the rim thus far --thus he fits the offensive 5 a lot more. Kanter shouldn't be confined, he should have more freedom to move around (thus spacing the floor).
