Great article on Favors

Thanks for posting. It's becoming more apparent every game that he is the key piece in wherever the Jazz plan to go.

Awesome article.

My favorite part: Only one perimeter player—LeBron James—has managed to score on Favors off a switch thus far, according to Synergy Sports. Among those he’s withstood are Stephen Curry and Kyle Lowry, both of whom missed late-game threes over Favors’s contest

At the same time, his effectiveness defending perimeter players on switches when he's focused makes his slow close-outs on stretch bigs even more frustrating. There are few shooting bigs who can blow by him, so he needs to do a better job getting back to his man on the perimeter after hedging on pick and rolls.

I like that he doesn't let the criticism get to him in a bad way, and just keeps working hard his own way.

Considering the evolution of his career, I wonder how good that frontline of Favors and Gobert will be three years from now?

I'm pretty sure Curry hit one over him in the fourth, but it wasn't a three, it was a long two (foot-on-the-line-long).

Time for Favors to showcase his skill and adaptability. I hope he goes nuts now that the paint is cleared with Gobert out. Jazz will need it.
