Great move by KOC, whats next?

Enough with Al Harrington's twitter page...he also said that he "loves the Magic" just yesterday.

I have to believe were gonna try and move memo. Al is younger and better... memos contract sucks and ny wants a shooting center. I doubt we see any additional moves w/o memo gone.

I would love for that to happen but the Memo contract is now as bad as AK's. Even the Knicks wouldn't take that deal.(Remember Isaiah's gone) and they are hoping to land Melo.

Big Al basically puts us at the tax line with 9 guys. That's with Fes dropped out. So we need 3 mins, which puts us 1 - 1.5 over the Tax, and then the last guy. It has to be a wing since we only have 3. If they're willing to go 5/6 over, they can sign Wes. If they want to keep costs down, they go bargain basement. Since they said they'd do 2 years in the tax if necessary, I'll bet they'd consider Wes. I think it comes down to whether they like Wes' whole deal more than whether they can fit him in.

I wouldn't be suprised if the Miller family and Jazz FO now think that bringing Matthews back is worth going deeper into tax territory.

I'm not quite ready to put my faith in Hayward. At best, he will need a couple of years to come into his own. This year is the year that Utah can make a splash with AK's contract coming off the books. If we could get a stud shooting guard then assuming Memo is able to come back this team could be very, very good.

No, Wes is gone. He is already grossly overpaid, now we double that with the luxury tax? Forget about it.

What makes you think that?

Because the Jazz say time and time again that they'll pay the tax for a team that can contend. Now that they've landed Jefferson, maybe they feel they're too close to being a 2 seed in the west so they decide to retain their starting SG.

Not saying I would agree with that line of thinking, but I could see them doing that.

Matthews is not the difference in us contending for a championship or not. We need a shooting guard that can put up 18-20 ppg and shoot a good percentage while doing it and is big enough and quick enough to defend the Kobes of the world. Matthews is a decent defender and a great story, but he isn't that guy. We need a quasi-superstar type of a guy to contend for a championship at the 2, not Wes.

Andre Iguodala anyone? I really think o'Conner and his ties to th 76ers might be able to pull this one off...it will hurt losing the financial flexability next year, but Kirilenko for iggy and change (Smith) is the move i would be pushing for. It's obvious the Jazz wanted to upgrade the 2 (Foye and Childress) without losing Kirilenko, but for Iggy I would do it in a heartbeat, he is always healthy, plays great d and can create his own shot, plus he is younger at 26 run him with Jefferson and Dwill for the next 3 years to see what we've got -
