Greg Miller buys '64 Ford GT40 for $7 million

Greg Miller is an embarrassment. He reminds me of Spalding from Caddyshack. It's pretty evident he couldn't care less about basketball so as long as he remains disinterested and not a meddling ******* then we should be good to go as long as he keeps having someone under him sign his name on Jazz checks.

Spalding: I want a hamburger. No, a cheeseburger. I want a hot dog. I want a milkshake. I want potato chips--
Judge Smails: You'll get nothing, and like it!

In theory that sounds plausible but in most real world cases when a tree is rotting from the top it's only a matter of time before the rest of the tree is infected.

I don't get all the hate for Greg. Did he eat your babies or something? He has shown a willingness to spend on the Jazz, a commitment to a long-term strategy for winning and desire to keep the team in Utah at all costs.

I know it is hard to understand, but the world is not fair and he lives in an entirely different financial universe than most of us. For him, the purchase of this car is likely to become more than a crazy extravagance. It will probably turn out to be a good investment as well.

Seven-million is too much to pay, but in all fairness, that's one sweet ********* machine.

how many were manufactured? How many miles? All original?
Might be worth 7 million... then again... NAHH!

Dude got jipped. Most cars at a car auction, even on TV go for about 900,000 tops I believe.. maybe a million.
Lol if this is the case, Greg Miller has money to blow-oh-oh-oh!

Good thing we have two vintage car expert for telling us what this piece of machine is worth.

Millers are great businesspeople. The existence of the Jazz is owed to their family. The Jazz is not their only success story. They own some of the top grossing theaters in the nation. They have obviously been successful with cars and other ventures.

If they are doing well, the Jazz will be in Utah for the foreseeable future. I for one am glad that they are able to spend this kind of money. Whether for investment or pleasure, I view this as good news for the Jazz which is all I really care about.

Let me get all the one liners out of my head....

So will the Mustang feel added pressure to perform given the high priced contract?

You have to overpay to get a quality Mustang to come to Utah.

I know headbands are not allowed, but what about racing stripes?

I heard the Mustang picked 72 because his favorite number 7 and his college number 12 were both retired.

Is the whole 7 million guaranteed or is there an option?

So is that the new road uniform?

If the mustang doesn't live up to its contract, it can be traded with one of the many draft picks for a Corvette and cash.

So I guess the Jazz are really going with an up tempo offense.

Another veteran to take away playing time from the newer models.

Will there be a press conference to introduce the Mustang to the media?

Will Jody Gennesy get to post blurry pics of the car?

Any chance the car ever gets parked in the parking lot at Best Buy?

Another one:

Does this mean we finally get to see dominating performances on the road?

Dude, its not your money, you have no right to it, and neither does anyone else.

Yes, it is great that multi-multi-millionaires have a lower tax rate than you and I so that they can invest in old cars. That is so much more worthy than investing in education or infrastructure.
