GSW wants their pick back.

Pick good as gone. Sacramento is getting on a hot streak. If anything we should be trading with GS to get less protection
Just as I predicted in the "Watch" thread. Sacramento is a very good home team and had played a road-heavy schedule. And GS had played a lot of home games. I said that once those evened out, the teams would be very close to each other in terms of records.

The best hope we have is for Cleveland to keep losing and for Detroit to struggle on the road. Perhaps if GS finishes 7th. Then we at least have a 25% chance that they'll drop a spot.

PDX could conviecably fall behind GSW too... but first GSW needs to show that they're even capable of winning a game. This could be a bit of a bittersweet development though cuz PDX would probably draft the PG we wanted.

That sounds a lot like the team is admitting to tanking. Doesn't that violate some rule?
I think it's damage control because they look so much like they're tanking and maybe someone (the league office) is telling them to at least look interested in the remaining games. As they look more and more like tankers, this is a red herring to act like they still want to win and are considering the possibility that they might have to give up the pick.

I still think the race to 6th/7th/8th worst will be tight, but it gets increasingly likely that the W's retain the pick as they lose to the Wolves, the Kings beat the Grizz, etc. Those are games that could go either way, but they're going the wrong way for the Jazz.

On the other hand he might go against all rationale, push Steph and Bogut to come back early and fight just to win a few home games.

There is absolutely ZERO chance that happens. Losing that pick would be HUGE for them, just like it will be for us.

In all seriousness though, if GSW lose that pick, they're set back a couple years and then some.
I think GSW loses more with that pick than we do.

But I don't care, screw you Lacob! You can't tank hard enough to get it.

Absolutely no on Curry. His ankles are apparently made of piñata. It literally became sadly laughable out here in Warriors land this year. He would injure it once every 1.5 weeks, sometimes on complete non contact plays. This is after a full summer with a lockout to have surgery and go through rehab.

No.

They could really use a guy like MKG.

I think it all comes down to Portland, Sacto and Cleveland as far as the pick is concerned. I wont be mad if we get the 8th seed and get swept as long as we keep the GSW pick. Let the kids get a taste of the playoff chase AND get a lottery pick in this draft............please.

Holy ****, that board is the floppy disk and Oregon Trial of modern sports message boards!

Somehow, that is an understatement...

That board's layout is like Bluesrocker and Blackswordbitch had a baby in a cave that was then ravaged by Trout's vengeful piglets.

Warriors Working With Jazz To Re-Acquire Own First Round Pick-Realgm

https://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewforum.php?f=33&sid=c87b39cdd688c5d292217847e1ee9f11

The Warriors have begun talks with the Jazz on re-acquiring their first round pick.

“We think we can get our pick back,” said Joe Lacob while on KNBR Tuesday morning.

Larry Riley has been working for several months on acquiring a lottery pick.

One source said the Warriors would not likely need to give up a core player and would package their current picks as they own San Antonio's first and two in the second round.

If the Warriors have one of the top-7 picks, then no trade with the Jazz is necessary.

Why would we ever do this? We don't need a low 1st round pick or a bunch of 2nd round picks.
