GSW wants their pick back.

Why would we ever do this? We don't need a low 1st round pick or a bunch of 2nd round picks.
Does Lacob think this is the NFL?
If he thinks a top-10 pick pick is worth only a late 1st and a couple of seconds then, as my mom used to say...he's got another think coming.

Now is a good time to deal, though. He desperately needs some good PR after the debacle at the Mullin ceremony.

So I need an etiquite ruling here. Since this topic was covered in another thread, is this thread only for mocking the OP or can I, er uh.... another poster speak about the topic?

Because if we could speak about the topic I would point out that conditions on a pick can be altered, and if the Jazz alter the conditions of the GS pick and the Warriors are willing to pay an additional 1st round pick and a couple of 2nd round picks and the Jazz would still have claim on a future conditional pick, that would be a steal of a deal. But I won't say anything like that if it is bad form.

Only deal I'd take is to give them their pick plus Harris for Curry.

Depending on what they offer, maybe it does make sense to delay the pick for a year. Then we save on the salary associated with a Top10 pick until the year AFTER the two big salaries of Jefferson and Harris expire. Doing that would allow KOC to utilize the full amount of Memo's TPE or add a FA without worrying about landing in luxury tax territory.

It would be crazy to turn down Curry for a potential pick, even with his ankle issues. Jazz could amnesty Harris for cheap. He's only owed another $8.5mm and someone would claim him on waivers for at least a couple mill.

Jazz are at $52.8 next year without any cap holds. Subbing Curry's salary for Harris' and they'll have another $4.6mm cap room. Cap should be roughly $60mm next season so that's enough to add another piece, if necessary or available. Or just bank the money in preparation for a title run in 2014 beyond.

Curry............
Burks..............
Hayward............ Screw the pick
Favors............
Kanter..........

Somehow, that is an understatement...

That board's layout is like Bluesrocker and Blackswordbitch had a baby in a cave that was then ravaged by Trout's vengeful piglets.

The birthing was also blessed by DutchJazzer, and they hire NAOS as a babysitter.
