What's new

GT: Miami @ Utah. 7 pm MT

Neto played really good, making good decisions and passes, and defended amazing. It's crazy how much better the team plays with Gobert out there, it's a lot more fun to watch too. Hayward was elite in this game, not complaints. Chris Johnson made some mistakes, but great game for him. 2nd leading scorer tonight.

Neto knew that game was broadcasted live in Brazil for the first time in two years.. Haha

Rudy is far and away better. Obviously, he need to work on his offense. But Rudy is bigger and stronger and three years younger. When Rudy is his age he will overpower Whiteside. And I agree Rudy does impact the game a lot more, much better basketball IQ despite Whiteside being older. Did you see some of the passes he made tonight, Bogut-like.

There was an article yesterday on The Score, "Why Whiteside does not play in the 4th quarter". They pointed out that the Miami team D is way worse with him in there. Apparently he gets way out of position too often going for the block.

Heat forum on RealGM is ****ing salty. Haha!

You guys gotta read this ****. These Heat fans talk like their the best team in the East. Wow, come back to Earth. Plus, zero respect for the Jazz. Do these people even follow the NBA? Bafflingly ignorant.

Normal fans of other teams will be shocked by the Jazz because we are not in national media often. So they check stats and last year and this year are aberations becasue of injuries this year and the Kanter trade last year. I have noticed that hard NBA fans seem to have a much better grasp on the Jazz and actually consider them a nightmare on the defensive end and one of the up and coming squads in the NBA.

Dude with the amount of injuries the Jazz have right now, we don't deserve respect. I'm sure some of their fans had good words for Hayward and Gobert. But other than that, our team is pretty lousy and if I were a Heat fan I'd be embarrassed about the loss.

Whitesides brain is broken. I'd be terrified to pay him what he's about to get.

Can someone please tell me why CJ has not been getting all of millsaps minutes from the beginning?

Because Millsap was far and away the better defender last year and I think Quin wanted his defensive intensity w/ Gobert out.

On the flip side, the fact that they're still in the playoff race in spite of all the injuries deserves some respect.

Not to mention that the Jazz are starting to get relatively healthy with Gobert back and Hood possibly returning tonight. Just in time for the schedule to ease up and the Jazz to rack up a bunch of wins. Time to push the Rockets and Grizzlies aside.

As for Whiteside v Gobert.....
Who played in crunch time?

Let's not dismiss CJ's effort on Dwayne Wade. That 6'11' wingspan matters. He was +22 on the night while Wade was -14. The Spur organization took a mold like this in the form of Danny Green and turned him into a good basketball player. Maybe Quin can do the same with Chris Johnson.

Agreed. What really impressed me with CJ on Wade is for the most part, he did not go for all of his fakes which is really hard to do.

I like the hunger and hustle he has. I hope he earns a spot in the NBA as a regular bench player...rooting for the guy.
