I am truly thankful for JazzFanz. It is a welcome diversion from life and stimulates my brain more often than not, not that that is all that hard to begin with.

today I'm thankful that someone else is doing most of the cooking (and that she's a damn good cook)

and in general I'm thankful for the small things, like seeing neighbors and other acquaintances out and about and sharing smiles and small talk with them

It was a nice thanksgiving this year. Had some friends over who had just moved. Brined and cooked a turkey, turned out awesome. The full standard spread really, nothing spectacular, all of it great. Tomorrow we do turkey soup with home-made spaetzle noodles. Not often I get a true 4-day weekend from work. Going to kick back and enjoy it.
