Look, we may not be able to get **** out of Harris in a trade. We just might have to deal with that reality. So, if Harris doesn't work with the low-post heavy offense that the jazz's starting unit (I almost typed "unity") demands, then Ty needs to move him to the second unit and institute more PnR there with Kanter and Favors--who, as it stands, need more PnR too. Hell, move Hayward back to the second unit as well and let Harris/Burks/Hayward/Favors/Kanter run a PnR type system while Watson/CJ/Howard/Millsap/Jefferson run the low-post thing we've committed to.
That is, of course, if you can't get Harris's *** out of town. Cuz that's where he needs to go. adios.
I'm not in love with Harris, but if we can't trade him, this is exactly what I think we should do. See if he can get Favors / Kanter going with the PnR and get our younger bigs more confident going to the rim.
I've been saying we should try starting Watson for ages, but got shot down each time with comments like "Oh.. give Harris a chance" or "Oh.. how can you compare a career back up PG with a former All Star PG"
Bottom line is, if Watson was playing in the last 3 min. of the Mavs game I think we would have had a much better chance of winning.
