Has Trey Burke Found His Shot????

If he can consistently hit the open floater or mid range shot, it will be great for our team. This will force teams to either change their D to stop him, or keep it the same and leave him open for a high percentage shot. I think the ability to hit a floater will be huge next year.

We saw this earlier when Burke was the primary ball handler. Trey is great in the mid range. His play has dipped ever since Corbin has given the "keys" to Hayward. Burke was taken great care of the ball and getting teammates involved and the team was winning.

The same should be applied to Hayward as well, but yes the "floater" he supposedly worked on last off season didn't seem to be there this year, especially if he isn't comfortable taking it.

Yes, he (Hayward) should have been ready with that stuff, but that's how the NBA is. If you are the #1 or 2 option every team will take away what you like to do and force you to do something you don't want to do or are less efficient at. You either counter to get what you want, or get good at what they give you and stick it to them. He did neither it seems for the most part. He has been more consistent this year, but is lacking a few moves that will help a lot. He has been much less efficient even though he has been using more volume of possessions. If he can master a few more moves his shooting percentages should go up across the board. Better be a busy off season for him.

Thanks for the clarification Triangle...sorry, I thought you were talking about Hayward. I agree with what you're saying.
 
he needs to get better at finishing around the rim. and he will. it's all about being confident and trusting his ability for him.
 
Average of his last 5 games:

46% FG & 50% 3pts for 15.4 ppg, 100% from the line (5-5), 5 apg, 1.6 rpg & 1.8 TOpg in 34 mpg.

I think that is very promising for the end of his rookie year. Not to mention he is already the leader of this team. Just look at last nights game. There were several times I saw him pulling Kanter, Hayward and other aside to talk and get on the same page during timeouts, fouls, inbound passes...

While there is still work for him to do I am very encouraged by him and think he was a good pick up for the Jazz.

I also think the Jazz bring back Garrett and bring over Neto next year. The PG rotation is set.

It's scary that Burke is this good IN HIS ROOKIE YEAR.

Like when Burke starts directing this offense, and we pick up Jabari (along with a new coach) it's gonna be downright stupid how good this team will be.

Burke has been playing really well lately but the team is not winning...... which is a good thing.
