Hawks want Quin

Looks like Quin's coaching career is picking up right where it left off: Blowing double digit 4th qtr leads.
Quins response:

“Uhhh actually no… because numbers and stuff… also… they were up by double digits so give some credit and sometimes Trae and Collins eat lunch together so nothing to see here… where’s my ****ing lip balm!!!!”

I'm sorry, but how is the narrative that Quin is some expert at fix locker room chemistry issues? His strategy in Utah was just to never hold Mitchell accountable for anything and let him chuck his heart away in the clutch while playing no defense, while insisting everything was great.

That seems like the opposite of what Trae Young needs.

Donovan played decent defense most of his Utah career. It was only that last series where he really stopped trying. If Quin can get Trae to Donovan's usual effort level on D, that's a huge improvement.

The thing that Quin is great at chemistry wise is that he designed a great offense that wasnt just 1 player dominant. Donovan never just stood off ball doing nothing like Trae has been allowed to do for years.

Yeah but in the NBA of today, where star players have the franchises by the short and curlies, it is likely what Trey wanted. Not what he needed, but absolutely what he wanted. We'll see how that pans out. Quin reminds me so much of this...
