Kemba Walker, Jefferson, and Hayward could be a playoff worthy threesome in the East. Don't think that will ever be Championship Caliber, but they could become a Toronto-caliber playoff team. Also, depends on the jump that Cody Zeller makes in year 2.

If it is a sign and trade, who would Utah want from the Bobcats? Gerald Henderson and whomever they draft at #8 or Kidd-Gilchrist? Not sure why Charlotte would need to do a sign-and-trade though as I think they would have the space to sign Hayward outright like they did with Big Al.

Bobcats are already making the playoffs. Admittedly they got swept but adding Hayward might win them 2-3 first round games.

To bad they won't.

They do a sign and trade because otherwise Utah matches their offer sheet. Or they would have to really overpay to make it so distasteful for the Jazz that DL would decide just to let him walk.
Not interested in MKG. It would have to include the rights to the player they select at #8 to make it happen - if Hayward is truly unhappy in Utah and wants to leave.

However, I just don't see it happening. I really hate articles written by fans. "This is certainly interesting news for Charlotte, and it makes a lot of sense for both the team and Hayward." But what about the other side of the coin; does a S&T make any sense for Utah? Hayward was a #9 pick, so I'm sure DL would value MKG higher since he was a #2 pick. Heck, maybe Utah would have to throw in another piece. Guess Jazz would need to throw in their #5 as well since MKG has superstar potential as a #2 pick.

Trade proposal:

Utah: Hayward

Charlotte: rights to #8 (has to be McDermott, for obvious reasons), next year's unrestricted 1st, Henderson + an admission by Jordan that he pushed off and personal delivery of the NBA championship trophy to Greg Miller.
