What's new

Hayward's Blog - If I played @KingJames 1-on-1, I'd crush him. My new blog on why I'm the best

Who cares how good you are at video games Hayward??? You are paid to play basketball, not video games. Just another reason I'm not a big fan of him.

I think he knows that. You seriously don't see the work he's already put in. Stop talking about things you don't know a damned thing about!!!!! God I hate ignorant people.

The funny part is that he kinda sucks at League of Legends. I could beat him and I am no where near a pro player level. He is not ranked very high and when I have watched him play he reminds of most of the people who stream on twitch (girls who suck at the game but are popular for big boobs.)

That said this is kind of a funny article and its good to joke around. Plus Hayward wants to be an all-star one day. Take it from Chris Bosh, (Toronto days) to be an all-star from a less popular team you need to get some attention.

Being a pro-gamer in LOL right now is a pretty awesome gig. Not quite up there with being a pro basketball or football player but up there with the other sports.

Hayward is owning that lane of being the hardcore gamer basketball player. He probably gets some decent endorsements because of this stuff.

I have more followers on Twitch than Hayward and I don't even use a webcam.

And so far as I know, Esports isn't terribly lucrative.

Do you have a job? Get off Jazzfanz. You aren't paid to post here.

They are fairly lucrative for a few games. Lols payouts to the top players is getting pretty good. This years winning team will take home a million from that one tournament. Dota 2 is paying out 5 million to the top team. Also the sponsors are paying salaries and for homes. A few streamers who do not play pro make close to 6 figures from sponsorships.

Why? Because he has a hobby outside his job?

I suppose, but it's more competitive for that than other competitive things. I think the most than anybody makes in my realm of Twitch is in the 25K range, and that's the top.

You realize he's ranked Plat 1, right?

I mean he's not at the pro level, but that's the top 5% of the playerbase at least.

Yeah MOBAs (like League of Legends and Dota 2) are the real money-makers as far as esports are concerned right now.

EDIT: this was meant in response to Darkwing Duck's comment:

Lebron James just responded in a tweet, calling him a "nerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd."

Oh no's. I am sure Hayward is pretty hurt by that.

Also isnt anyone who frequents a internet message board daily to discuss any topic in way more detail than needs to be discussed, by definition a nerd?
