What's new

Help me

Unless they go on a run like last year, they're going to struggle to finish .500 or above. Sorry boss. Had they stayed healthy, I'd think they'd have gotten there easily. They'll have to go 23-16 to get to 42.

I'll root for you though. 42 needs to be their goal. Hopefully getting Gobert, Favors and Burks healthy to finish the season will be the difference.

I agree with everything in your post.

If they stayed mostly healthy then I think it was easy money

Corbin would have installed a legitimate NBA offense and have this team close to .500. Your praise of Snyder leading a team to the 8th worst record in the league is like a grown up believing in Santa Clause. His offense is nothing short of a train wreck.
You continue to show incredible commitment to your stupid narrative. It's remarkable in a weird way.

I think what I posted on the PG thread is relevant here :

The NBA isn't an easy business. After the All star break last year, for 30 games all was rosy for this team. This year it's hard, there are injuries (let's all remember Exum as well), they are better scouted by opposing teams, etc.. it's not easy. It's a growth experience. Success just doesn't happen suddenly. Curry's Warriors had 3 losing seasons before starting to gel, same for Jordan's Bulls. Sure we are far far far remote from that ballpark, but Exum had only one season before being injured, Gobert is in his 3rd season, his first having been almost a write off. Hood and Lyles are very young too. Sure Favors, Hayward and Burks are older but only 24, 25 and 24.

Patience guys, patience... This team still has plenty of room to grow and is growing before our eyes. It might not go as quickly as hoped, but at some point you have to trust the process when the process makes sense. This isn't some Philadelphia's Hinkie "trust the process" dementia. This is a team with a very good young group, growing together. It might not work, it might never be super duper good because the NBA is a nasty business, but it's done the right way.

I listen to jazz radio as I drive to and from the big city each day. As I listened to them pre-game last night and recap the game this morning I heard plenty of praise for Exum. "Kemba does't score 52 on Exum" "Reggie Jackson Doesn't go off on Exum" it made me kind of laugh. Because there were plenty of games last season where Exum was awful. He stood on the perimeter, he wouldnt drive, his defender was like a rover, with the other team just daring him to shoot because his offense was so bad. With all the recent praise for Exum, it occurred to me that he might never be a better player than people think he is right now.
