Well then, he will have a chip on his shoulder coming in. That could go either way...
Huge brown nosing by Avery.

How many "great PG" won championships in the last 20 years? I know a lot of great SGs that won. Tony Parker and Chauncey Billups are probably the best. I'm being serious. Rondo is good, very good.
I think we're moving in a better direction.
Avery Johnson's teeth are too big for his head.

Rondo wasn't "great" when they won the championship. He still had some huge holes in his game. Derek Fisher is by no means a great PG. Parker is very good, but he's no Nash, Paul or Williams. Take a very good PG, give him a couple of great players, you have a shot at a championship. Take a great PG, play him next to a few good players, you generally come up short.
If the trade gives Deron a chip on his shoulder, NJ has a remote chance at the playoffs. Not likely, though. Indiana and Philadelphia have been playing decent ball (both 7-3 in their last 10). So let's assume the WORST of those teams finishes at Indiana's current .464 percentage. That's 38 wins. New Jersey would have to go 21-4 to to win 38 games. I don't see that happening.
