Herro Rumors

Miami can **** off if this is the case.
And this too… I get that there is something we want in a potential deal… but Miami is getting the best deal of any party so go ahead and add in the extra stuff to get it done. I think they are waiting for Porty to ask for those extras and Porty is in FU mode.

True... but we do have many pieces that can make it more smooth contractually.
But does Phoenix actually want Sexton or THT?

To me they would want KO to supplement Nurkic more than they would want Sexton. Sexton's scoring would be marginal with KD/Booker/Beal.

But Utah supposedly isn't willing to deal KO

Look… I would think they’d want to keep Ayton over any of that so what the **** do I know???

I don’t hate the Sexton addition to that group. He would likely be able to score with mega efficiency with the spacing they provide. He’d be more of a regular season workhorse. He’s not a need but wouldn’t be completely useless.

Also with regard to the Suns… Isiah Thomas is rumored to be pretty involved there now… and I could see him liking Sexton.

Also heard a porty guy say he think the Nurkic Ayton deal happens one way or another no matter who the deal ends up with… shrug

I like Herro. I think if the price is Sexton and a pick plus salary fodder go for it. I watched some of his highlight vids while waiting for the kids and think some of the stuff he does around screens and dho is pretty scalable and functional with the other guys we have. I think he has some of the same drawbacks players like Poole, Sexton, Clarkson have in that you still probably need a strong defensive backcourt mate who can do some distribution but he might be able to have a development leap where he becomes a poor man's version of Booker (maybe broke man's version when you factor in defense).

Just don't overpay here... that's all... also there would definitely need to be a midseason deal to offload JC (if Key is functional... maybe he sucks outside of the summer league).

No idea on what draft picks would have to change hands, but the inclusion of Dinwidde convinces Heat to part with the two rookies.
