He's back and he's angry. Gobert in SLC

Just praying for no injuries for Rudy.

All I ask from our Creator. PLS, just keep him healthy. This is all we ask.

This sounds good, but by our Creator do you mean Hayward or Exum? Regardless, I'm not sure either of them can take responsibility for Gobert's health.

Is Rudy going to play any SL?

I seem to remember Hayward and Burks playing in a few games in before entering their 3rd season.
I doubt it

His latest FB post. My Goboner is raging.

I would love to shoot around on that court

He means churro

This one is my favorite. Gobert has that inner drive to be great. That quality is rare.

It's one of the factors that drove Jordan and Kobe to be two of the greatest of all time. It's what has propelled Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard and Draymond Green into becoming three of the best defenders currently in the NBA.

I am so damn happy that Rudy is ours. He's going to be the cornerstone of the best defense in the league for years to come. It's just too bad the Jazz didn't draft the Greek Freak over Burke. Defensive lineup of Gobert, Favors, Antetokounmpo, Hayward and Exum. . . holy crap!

I saw into the future.

Gobert was giving his Hall of Fame acceptance speech.

It was just like Jordan's.

All he did was regulate on the 20 teams that passed on him in the draft, the idiots that failed to name him to the all defense teams, and bust down on every one who ever talked trash. Then he flashed his hand with chompionships on them.

They all had Jazz logos.

and then my wife woke me up and said, "it's happened again. I'm pregnant now."

This is why I was OK with Gobert not being on any of the All Defense teams. I wanted him to come into the off season with a major chip on his shoulder. I want him to come out in the regular season and humiliate other teams, basically give the league the middle finger for not giving him the recognition he deserves.

Can't wait

Key question is if you were fantasizing about Gobert when you were getting her pregnant. It's ok if you did; we're very accepting and open-minded on Jazzfanz.

I think a lot of us were this way. I was openly rooting for this scenario. Looks like we were right.

I'm not gay, but I LOVE this guy!
Awfully hard to imagine ANYONE approaching the adoration and reverence we have for Stockton and Malone, but Rudy just might add his name along theirs if he plays in Utah his entire career.

I think Rudy is there. The game, the attitude, the fire. He has it all. Add a jump hook (which with his reach no one in the NBA could block...NO ONE) and a couple post moves to that 15-footer and we have a generational player on our team. I am so freaking excited for the season to start. I already told my boss that next season I will be working later shift quite a few days so I can be up at 3 am to watch the games. Don't want to miss a single block. BRING IT ON!! GO RUDY!!!

Whenever I'm down, I remind myself that the Utah Jazz traded #46 (Erick Green) & cash for Rudy Gobert. That deal has the potential to go down as one of the most lopsided trades of all-time (if not the most). He is the reason that we have a legitimate opportunity to win an NBA Championship one day. He may not be the type of generational talent who can win one on his own due to his offensive limitations, but he appears to be the type of generational talent who can almost singlehandedly make a defense championship caliber.

Paired with a player who can takeover a game offensively, as well as given enough depth behind him, he has the potential to be the anchor of a team who wins multiple titles. As impressive as his physical tools & defensive abilities/instincts are, his work-ethic/character/drive/passion/etc is equally impressive & important to the type of player that he has developed into. As fans, we often over-rate/over-value our players, but if anyone on this team deserves it, it's him.

As great as Hayward & Favors are, & D-Will was, Rudy Gobert is the closest thing we've had to a Stockton or Malone since Stockton & Malone. I just hope that we take advantage of this rare (especially for a small-market team) opportunity by hedging our bets & acquiring as many potentially elite offensive players/prospects as possible. If we're ever going to win that elusive 1st championship, I think we will have to do so with Gobert.
